river fish look at lot better than fish from lakes, always clean looking, probally due to where its running water and not still, go try it mate, totally different from lakes, believe me you will enjoy it

yer think i will have a go. anyone know any good day ticket river fishing spots in hampshire.....

i went last friday night, got to river about 4pm fished till 11.30 didnt have a bite, the tempature was -4, iv fished when iv had to break the ice and fished in snow but last friday was 1st time iv ever packed up at went home early, it was so damn cold lol.

dont the avon run through hampshire, if so great river to fish. there is a spot called the royalty somewhere, very good spot to fish, it was £10 for a day ticket about 4 years ago, not sure of the price now

i went fishing once liked it bought all the stuff spent all my wages then went again hated it and never been again have about £200 worth of kit sitting in the corner!

Aww, I haven't been fishing in so long! I like snook and sheepshead best, though sheepshead have very nasty teeth-they HURT!

went to my local canal recently with a tub of worms, loads of perch around but i caught nothing, got bored after 2 hours so i went home.
not a fan of canals i must say

To be honest, I tried finshing the once about 5 months ago. Some how I ended up in the pub watching a football match until i didn't ralise i left my rod in the Lea Valley lake!

I'd never go again!

i went in the plymouth sound, my mate had a rod, i useda plank of wood with some line and a hook, no matter what bate i used i caught something, even a chip worked, i did get bit by something really ugly and vicious which gave me a rash and sent me to a and e but it was good fun lol

Uhmm, fishing I've been a few times didn't really enjoy it had me hand cut open by stupid Perch =/ each to their own I suppose.

i love it fair enough sometimes your sat there FREEZING with not a fish in sight and your thinking 'god why am i here when i could be in bed' only if ya night fishing that is

best day i had was at a place called brookside in stretton (i think) caught a 28 pound mirror 8 pound tench and a 7 pound koi also hooked into something MASSIVE then later on was told there is 1 catfish in there if only i could of caught it
