I wonder how much Brawn made on the deal to sell his team to Mercedes?

Not sure but bet it was a few quid, they have brought a controlling share of 75.1% of the team and McLaren have brought out mercedes 40% share of it's team but will still supply engines to McLaren for the next 6 years.

Brawn and Nick Fry and some others have still kept shares in brawn to control the other 24.9% of the team.

The man whose surname means "shoemaker" who drove for a team whose name means "blacksmith" is joining the team whose name means... "meat made from the head of a calf or pig"?

Its going to be Brawn Mercedes. Brawn will be in charge but will be financed heavily by Mercedes. Don't think Ross Brawn wants to gamble with his millions anymore. He has accomplished what he set out to do, build a World Championship winning car.

Think Schuey's being a little silly coming back. Although its a return due to public demand, he loves his fans. No arguments there.

But if he comes back and doesn't win another World Title then retires, people will say he's past his best/not what he was. He may end up regretting it as it will wreck his current sterling reputation.

Sterling what? You ever seen any youtube video's of this "sterling reputation"?

Look for ones where he's smiling whilst Ayrton Senna lies dead. Or his smashing a fellow competitor out of a GP so he can win the World Championship. The list goes on....

Meant the 7 world titles

He didn't know Senna had died at the time, in reflection he also admitted he was disgusted with himself.

Oh and just to clarify. I don't like Shuey, just the vast majority of F1 fans do, thats all.

I agree, his record is far more impressive than his driving ability. Although in the wet was one of the best I've seen.

I think he's a better driver than Mansell and Prost. Maybe not Senna.

My best driver of all time is Jackie Stewart.

You're just a bitter Scot!

Yeah I get it. His 7 world titles are great, but how many of them was he actually contested on? He was (and perhaps still is) awsome in the wet - I'm just not his biggest fan. Never really liked his attitude towards the sport when he's driving and losing.

I hope next year is as entertaining as last.

how could anyone contest when they couldn't even get close to him?

never really heard much about senna but im not going to post what i would say because its a bit too disrespectfull, although at the same time, shows his dedication

There will NOT be a Brawn GP team next season, they won't be called Brawn Mercedes, Mercedes have took over and the new team name is Mercedes Grand Prix, so even though Brawn is still in charge, the team isn't called Brawn at all.

And remember the rumours about Schumacher and that smile, ended the season by hitting Hill off the road. Nice gesture from Senna in the race he died in, he had an Austrian flag in the car because of what happened in qualifying when Roland Ratzenberger lost his life. Apparently, Max Moseley was one of few to attend the Austrian's funeral.

But also about Schumacher, remember he got disqualified from the 1997 World Championship after trying to knock Jacques Villeneuve off the track in the final race
