The game would be so much more competitive...

init the point of being the best overall is to be the best on all...and taking away us8 ball for this new one will be too easy for top players such as derp

The pockets are different on US to UK and the table speed is completly different.

Games will just finish sooner and run outs and seven ballings will occur more often

yeah but the aim of run outs and seven ballings now is that you earn them through practise not by having faster speed and bigger balls

Personally I like the US table the way it is. I think the default table for new accounts and guests should be the UK table. The UK table is great for beginners as it's not too disheartening.
The US table is great for more expericenced players
who want a challenge .

Thing is, US pool is not as popular as UK pool despite it having better physics and 3d graphics. IMO, most of this is down to the difficulty.

Depressing

I don't play much US pool because it takes a lot more skill, and i find UK suits my free time a lot better in the fun stakes. The pockets are a lot more forgiving in UK, but you still need some level of skill to become anything approaching professional or higher. On the US table it's the reverse for me. I find i have the right approach to the game, but potting is something that needs a good few hours to become anything near adequate.

If i was a regular player i might feel different, but i could appreciate that this new version would be more fun from the off to a new user joining the site.

Lol, I'm just as rubbish on the new table as the old. I do agree with the others - there should be a difference between the two games, or the site pretty much goes back to being UK 8-ball only, just with 2 different-looking tables.

awww please dont change it Nick...by all means have it as a game choice to practice on, or even add it as an extra tournament, but pleeeeese keep the one we have now for all of us that love it!! *batts eyelashes*

Love the table...this is exactly how i want the UK 8 table.

But great work i want this implanted.

I don't really want to as it would mean 5 different games which means increased downloads.
