Yes I know

But I'm enjoying this, whatever I say will not effect the outcome, so I'm not atall worried that I may be jinxing things.

I just can't see one threat in this English team, the only thing that will stop Wales winning, is Wales

Weirder things have happened, it's usually the English saying what I'm saying a, I can remember when they thought they should leave the 6N and join the tri Nations because they were so superior, good thing they didn't now, eh?

Swings & roundabouts, swings & roundaboutsss

Who said they should leave the 6 Nations? Wasn't in a Welsh paper at all was it? I doubt it was a real rugby fan!!

You should enjoy it, shame your not playing a World Cup this year, as the team was too young in 2007!

It's only just occured to me that our last good performances were this time last year (well almost) when we beat both France and Ireland quite easily, have a feeling we're due a good match but just can't see it being this weekend!

Yes, the RFU and many media said that it would be better for the game of rugby if England joined thr Tri -Nations as the 6 nations is de-valued because there are no teams at a high enough level to compete against England in the 6N. I will try and find some links

I know it's highly unlikely that Wales will win by a good amount due to the occasion and all, but it is what I expect.

I can't see England beating anyone unless they pull their finger out, they have so much potential not playing. Scotland would not have lost if they played you last weekend, and to see you going even more conservative than last weekend this weekend, is sad, wonderful and confusing all in one.

I can't wait

It was a pipe dream, perhaps over exagerated by the media at the time, maybe a 'quote' from someone in jest even - I doubt it was ever really thought of.

I can't contradict what your saying, neither can I agree - you just never know with England!

Just read Wales are higher in the world rankings thn they ever have been (4th) so well done to you. I still can't understand how Argentina get to where they are........

As I keep saying (more like banging on) we'll see you next year!

Wales: Lee Byrne (Ospreys); Leigh Halfpenny, Tom Shanklin, Jamie Roberts (Cardiff Blues), Shane Williams (Ospreys); Stephen Jones (Scarlets), Mike Phillips (Ospreys); Gethin Jenkins (Blues), Matthew Rees (Scarlets), Adam Jones, Ian Gough, Alun-Wyn Jones, Ryan Jones (Ospreys, captain), Martyn Williams, Andy Powell (Blues).
Replacements: Huw Bennett (Ospreys), John Yapp (Blues), Luke Charteris (Newport Gwent Dragons), Dafydd Jones (Scarlets), Dwayne Peel (Sale), James Hook, Andrew Bishop (Ospreys).

Shane Williams and Andy Powell to have late fitness tests. If they don't pull through will be Daf Jones to 6 and Ryan Jones to 8, with Mark Jones coming straight on to the wing for Shane and I'm sure Bradley Davies onto the bench.

Looks good

Where's Alex Poppom? Always thought he was a great international player, alot like our Lewis Moody. Is he injured like him too??

Gatland dropped him after the England game last year because he had a pop about the training and about the coaching and team etc.... basically being difficult. He is now playing for the same team as Andy Goode in France and hasn't been in the Welsh squad since. Good riddence to bad rubbish as people say.

He also gives more penalties away than anyone else, and Gatland has shown that if you aint got good discipline, then he wont pick you. The selection over here is ruthless, that has gone a long way to the physicality and fitness of this team being so great. The players motto :

"We are working harder than anyone else on the training field, so the result takes care of itself"

The referee is Kaplan, the same that you had last week vs Italy.

I'm happy with that, likes an open game and is not afraid to show cards.

Didn't know that about Poppom! I know he gave away penalties, but he always brought a great physicality and tempo to a team that needed it at the time - or so I always though. Obviously I don't read what goes on behind close doors!

That moto is almost (I hate to keep saying) like England '03 - maybe you can win a World Cup and grand slam and be ranked No.1 in the world soon!
(I'm actually being serious)

Scotland might just be able to win this game against France is they sort their line out and scrum!

Am getting rerady for the England match, plenty of booze to drown my sorrows - don't think it'll be quite as bad as the time we beat Wales 50-5 (sorry had to get that in, it's all we've got at this point) but I can't see us winning!

Scotland done well then, blew a great chance to win that game, they will get better as the tournament goes on I'm sure.

France didn't really look to good, just kicked their goals, scored a bit of a flukey try, and won. Not scaring anyone with that performance that's for sure.

I'm so nervous, I have never ever been this nervous for a Welsh game in my life !!!!

Hope the players are more relaxed than me

I completely retract my statement about Flutey, he was very good.

England played well, the best for a very long time. But, Wales were poor, the poorest they have been under Gatland, that could well be because England played so damn negative lol. But they've still won by more than a score. Wales kinda controlled it to be fair, England were a threat, but Wales just looked like they had it. Sadly Wales concentration left them AGAIN after getitng a good lead and a sparkling 10 minutes of the first half, they could and should have gone on to hit a big score, but didn't and fair play, England tactics were good, but Wales just saw off the threat, a sign of a great team.

Well done on a good performance England, and well done on a good win Wales.

Valentines day spectacle.

P.s. The Welsh defence = SHOCKING! (compared to what we are use to)

England should be thrilled, good platform to build for Ireland now.

Not often Wales can beat England and not play well though, eh?

Now there is not one team in the 6Nations that have beat Wales more than Wales have beat them, oh, and we just equalled the record for consecutive wins. Happy days !

Just a shame the referee was a South African and hated England, pinned us for everything. Tindall bin for handling in the ruck. Warn us at every opportunity.

Byrne takes Armitage out in the air, surely a sin binning offence, obviously not according to Kaplan.

Goode slows the ball down by the try line, sin bin. Wales do a similar offence towards the end, sweet FA done about it.

So despite it being 14 v 16 for 20 minutes of the game, I would say we did well and were unlucky to lose in the end, had Sackey controlled better after the quick Ellis penalty, could have took the lead.

Scotland were hard done by too with the decisive French try being a forward pass

Warney, you are nuts !

England got away with just as much, if your gonna blame anyone for those yellows, blame Borthwick as the ref gave him lots of warning before losing patience, sadly it was Tindall who got caught. Borthwick should have told them straight.

Goode was a clear yellow, Byrne got away with one.

England slowed the ball down endless times, you should be lucky not to have received more cards

If Sackey done that? Well, IF Wales used the overlap they created everytime, and Roberts and Shanklin got some offloads away, I think we could have scored 10 tries.

C'mon, be proud of your teams performance, they punched above their weight and showed great guts and determination, don't post silly things like that, it's like your trying to say it's a devalued victory.

Anyway stuff debates on rubbish like that, well done both teams on a great game, I'm going to get drunk.
