Couldn't have been that crappy then could they!

Well, look on the bright side, if they hadn't been a newbie you would have lost even more.

Well, as i said before : look on the bright side - if they werent a newbie you wouldnt have the benifit of the rank adjustment and lose even more points!

And most of all - if they beat you, moaning can only verify your position as a sore loser...

Say everyone on the site started to neglect playing newbies... then they wouldnt be able to play enough games to make 100 games...If you are going to play newbies and simply dont want to lose rank jus set up a friendly or maybe look around for higher ranked players...I think some people forget we wer all newbies once you can at least try and make them feel welcome.

When I get a guarantee that a newbie is indeed a newbie and not a multi adept/pro in disguise then I'll happily play em

If you read this thread you will see why it simply doesn't matter if they are a genuine newbie or not.

Fact is, the amount of rank you lose, or they gain, is reduced so you lose less points than you would if they were playing on thier normal account of say 800 rank.

pacnt07 in regard with your last comment, i believe 30_01_90 meant that as the players ranked newbies are ranked as newbies.... they are not ranked as pros or adepts.

hard to explain but its logic.

thanks cloud...but if you see a newbie and are weary about them check their profile...see how many games played and check their rank...also check their history however as spinner is rightfully saying you will be better off losing to these newbies other than fellow pro/adept players so just have fun doing so...could also b that some players dont play many ranked games and just tournys which means they may well be good but rank not so good and this could fool you. So try viewing profile and history and if they are a new newbie just play em 1 game first and see how good they are

I have read this thread, including where you contradict yourself and niggle at people. Anyway you have your view, I don't agree with it and thats where I'll leave it.
