Title: Jewellery (have we already had it??)

Jewellery

I showered this girl i knew in presents of gold,
All to impress her, and her heart was sold.
The more money i earnt, the more she would get,
And the nights we then had i will never forget.
But one day in the park, i saw this one pair,
Lost in their love, i started to stare.
He had bought her no gold, no jewellery at all,
Suddenly against the tree i felt a bit small.
Am i buying her love? Is it my wallet she looks for,
I walked so slowly back to my front door.
And as i walked in quietly, i saw she was there,
How could she do this, how could she dare!
She was diggin in my wallet, taking all the spend,
My heart was past broken, i knew it wouldn't mend.
So money cant buy you love, its a straight simple fact,
When you meet a partner you should always make this pact:
That you love each other for free, money isn't a thing,
When this happens its apparent that true love will begin.
