Totally agree with Phase on this one. All you Newcastle fans are on about:
"Owen is a proven world class striker"

1) Why is Rooney at Man Utd (2nd place) and Owen at Newcastle (league 2??!)
2) If Owen is a world class striker then why is he not still at Real Madrid?
3) Again if Owen is a world class striker then why is he not in the top scorers chart in the english premiership?
4) Why is Rooney then, our said "key" to world cup success?
5) If you Newcastle fans seriously think Owen is the better player and not just because Rooney plays for Utd then no-wonder you are doing so poorly this season......
6) Souness should actually be beaten by the toon fans, my humble opinion :) hehe.

I dont think you can compare rooney and owen as they both have different strenghts and weaknesses!

One of Owen's is he's quick, one of Rooney's is he's stupid I mean strong....

So latest news is Owen regrets moving to Newcastle from Real Madrid and wished he waited to sign for a better club. (Ie one challenging for europe)
