Playoffs are Playoffs - As far as I were aware 3 players selected team who wins 2 fixtures out of 3 progresses.
I wasn't aware that differed in the SL - nor were we even informed.
So it's now 2-4 lol in their favour, had we known this from the start rapid_pot might have won all 3. I just think it's farcical to announce the different rule when 2 /3 have been played.

Problem is the initial match was 2 wins for Uprising, 1 draw and 1 win for Phoenix and it was classed as a draw. Surely you don't change the format to a different league?

If I think of team events like the Mosconi cup in pool, the ryder cup in golf, the davis cup in tennis and the weber cup in bowling a win is just one point for your side, doesn't matter how big the win is. I think that's how it works anyway, been a while since I watched any mosconi cup!

I've got to be honest haha. And I never said anything on snooker James because there were only about 2 carom players in the league I didn't expect to beat 6-0 . On pool it's much easier for a weaker player to take a couple of racks off a good player than say in original snooker or carom so frame count introduces an element of luck. 1 point per game makes the depth in the squad more important as you can't rely on a couple of robots bringing in massive scores every match .

So let's get this straight. One team can win 67% of the matches but one big win means the other team win the playoff? That's been thought through well... ha.

Only problem is as Zante and Keith said, entire SL has been frame count only and not like FBL where you get 2 for win and 1 for draw so i agree playoff should be a frame count as well.
If Zante is right and usually is under Adams scheme, Uprising Strawberries would be through to play DFE B Team rather than a Playoff.
Now i think about it, it makes more sense to have one or the other, SL points count, Playoff points count or SL frames count, Playoff frames count (Current). frames count then points count makes no sense

Exactly. I don't like that though as it takes away from the team aspect of the game . Obviously the rules are the rules but I think it's a shame when one good player can be so OP!

Exactly. I don't like that though as it takes away from the team aspect of the game . Obviously the rules are the rules but I think it's a shame when one good player can be so OP!
