Ash thought it was 3 individual games and the first to win 2 games went through but in SL all frames count so dv8 may be the only winner for uprising but the frames that others win could put them through.
The first one to get 5 points out of a possible 9 leaves it impossible for the other team to win anyway so whats the difference?

Playoffs are Playoffs - As far as I were aware 3 players selected team who wins 2 fixtures out of 3 progresses.
I wasn't aware that differed in the SL - nor were we even informed.
So it's now 2-4 lol in their favour, had we known this from the start rapid_pot might have won all 3. I just think it's farcical to announce the different rule when 2 /3 have been played.
C'mon _fresh_ win 3-0.

Its not a different rule. Its the same rule it was before you started playing the playoffs. It just doesnt suit you now, does it?

Yeah at first i was as surprised as Ash, then Harry explained the format, i was like, can still have draws etc but then explained that it is an odd number as 3*3=9 so it also falls into SL Frames Count i think so nicely poised and think it is the right way to do the Playoff.

Yup my own fault, not really read rules for 2 seasons now and first time for this situation in a while.
Regardless of format, the key is no possible tied result at end

All Playoffs IF they followed the same structure and format then there wouldn't be any of this. Fact is now _fresh_ has to win 3-0 stopping zante from winning any just so we win overall.
IF the Playoff followed the same as those within the FBL then it would be 1-1 (matches) and 50/50 going into the final decider.

Was used just 5 months ago, in all other SL games it's separated by the points won (frames and bonus) not matches between players won. That is GSC style which is why that is used in GSC playoffs. In no other league are tiebreakers needed so you cannot say that is how playoffs usually are. They are one format for one competition and another for the other competition so that both tiebreakers fit the competition. Complaining about that would be like us complaining that we won more matches against you in the first match so we should go through.
