new members visiting this site must have so much fun
Spinner we've said often enough about the problems
can nick or anyone actually fix it
or are we waiting for java to accidentally help the site out
we have individually sorted most problems that help us play the game
however what about new members trying to join
only a question
why was it all ok before the change of site servers

We all know about the problems, but its not the first time we have had issues affecting lots of people, thats how I got interested many years back, as I found trying to sort the problems so people could play the game a lot more fun that playing the game itself!
Fact is there are so many factors. People always jump on ideas that it is the servers fault etc, but just be logical. Its a program, by now quite an old one. Thats it. Makes zero difference which server its hosted on, as it is downloaded and run on your computer. Its a coincidence, nothing more.
More than ever people are playing with many different configurations, so as I said, finding something that works for everyone is difficult. Thats why these forums exist, to help each other out, thats how it always has been and is still a great resource.
Finally - yes, Nick could probably fix things. But he isnt around right now.
I have not heard from him on the phone or via social media in 3 months now.
I don't know why, and frankly I couldnt care less if funkypool and snooker dissapeared tomorrow, they simply dont matter as long as he is OK.

Why bother doing an admin job when you full well know it's pointless

That's not what he meant Fran, we are concerned for Nick as we haven't heard from him, the site and its problems come a very poor second to that.
We will continue to do what we do to keep the site running for as long as we can until we get some news.

Thanks Sam.
That's exactly what I meant. Apologies for going off topic, those who know me know it doesn't happen often and I may not have the time I used to have to spend here, but I felt people needed to be aware that those who are still plodding away in the background are doing their best, but without Nick some things are just impossible.
So, back to the topic of trying to help each other enjoy things as best they can

spinner: Could buckjam's new computer have ENABLED on the Execution Environment Security Settings (mixed codes) which is why he's forever having the Sandbox permanent on his screen?
I have: mixed codes (sandbox vs. trusted) security verification on Disable Verification (not recommended).
What do you think?
(I don't recommend tampering or altering anything on this page only if you know what you're doing though.)

IE TAB
Download Google Chrome: (Get updated version)
https://www.google.com/chrome/
Go to the Google Settings menu (Top right)
* Scroll down to Settings, Click on it.
* Then You'll have History, Extensions, Settings and About on the left hand column.
* Click on Extensions
Scroll down to you see 'Get more extensions', click on it
Opens the Chrome Web Store, type in IE TAB in the search bar
It will display a few APPS - you want the IE Tab with just the 'e' in a circle for the icon.
Click on + ADD TO CHROME
It will go to a download/install screen, just follow that then close the box.
To play Pool:
1. Log in as normal - Username/Passord then click on Play
2. It will display a box saying: This site uses a plug_in (Java(TM)) that is unsupported
3. Above where it displays that it'll display www.funkypool.com/viewGameWidescreen.do?loggedIn=true
4. Highlight ALL of that till the end of true and right click on the mouse.
5. Click on COPY
6. After clicking Copy, close the box then click on the 'e' in the top right corner (the same symbol as you saw on the IE tab from earlier.
7. It will open a new screen but you'll see a place to type in a Address (very thin search bar called the URL) .
8. DELETE all the writing in that box so there's nothing, then right click on the mouse and click on PASTE
9. What you copied before from the Unsupported box will display.
10. Press Enter.
11. Log In your details again.
Enjoy!

You can still maximise the screen using F11 or Fn F11 mate. It clears the bar completely

I'm having the same problem on the latest java ^ oddly when I reload the page afterwards and the session is timed out, I can play fine whilst not connected to the server. As soon as I log in after the reload it freezes with the security warning.
Uninstalled it and then reinstalled the above version, it stops freezing when I open the window it says java is not installed. I've tried the two fixes on the help page but no change. Anyone got any ideas?

Have you clicked on the little red cross in the top left to 'always allow plug-ins'?
