I agree with buckjam, obviously we have acquired two players from Uprising, why not delay the start of the season for 1 week. Give all sides a chance to recruit, get the team they want and then we can all rumble.

I don't see the fairness in two quality players having to miss the FCL Fix Set one due to a Captains refusal. I've refused to release players in the past but yet still been entitled to leave: notably tension on two occasions.

I appreciate the support from the post above and it's refreshing to see. Let's start the season in 1 weeks time I wasn't aware the FBL sides have to be the same as the SL too. My SL was going to be the best players all in one but the FBL was a mixture as it was more game type based.

No erigert - Delay the start of the season as you being 2 players short affects your ability to have 3 sides in the SL.

Its attitude like that why season won't start, i could say delay until next year, what is another 365 days, the end of the league, sooner the better is when we should start and it should be this sunday

I will reply: James there is zero attitude with my remark - it was said in jest and huts sorry but up till yesterday you've not even had a full team list for weeks. So now it suits you're championing the season to start asap. I bet a delay would be called for if you hadn't added the recent additions to you team.

True but when the runner posts that season is officially begins you can't change it. You chose to sign so its down to Uprising to replace them by start date.

The extra week was more to give Keith the extra time to sort out the alterations. As he said he spent time doing it so it's a pain in his rear to now have to change stuff.

I have a full team so couldn't care less really. I just don't need to kick ash in his man bits everyday to get my kicks.

That has nothing to do with Ash tbh. Keith already gave a start date and theres no reason to change that.

Other than he can't play his two new players from the start. Thus putting him at a disadvantage. Also Uprising lost 2 good players and have no time to replace them putting them at a disadvantage. So to help solve those disavantages give Keith time to alter his work. That was my thought process. It was placed on the discussion thread for discussion regardless of how "ridiculous" you found it to be eri.

Hope you don't mean me mate, i haven't had any fights with Ash in a while. Two things i posted today.

a) Sam and Tinie join Phoenix, i wished them luck, okay i was curious (in a positive way) how Ash managed to sign them, but i wished them luck and with Sam and Tinie in his corner, i believe Phoenix can challenge Uprising.

b) Today about extension, If i was the runner i wouldn't be changing the start time, If i said it would start this Sunday then i would rush draws and ask for fixture lists. On Snooker when it was busy we usually only had a 7 day break to get stats on website, do entries and rush the draw list, pretty hectic.

I truly believe if the runner makes a start date, he shouldn't change unless its a last resort and all clans need it. For example, Last Set extension on Snooker, didn't want to increase deadline but i had no choice or i would have 10+ defaulted games.

Nothing against Ash.

It is ridiculous to be asking for the league to be extended only for a captain to use his new signings in the first set. If he wanted to play them in the first set he should have signed em earlier. I dont have anything against that.

As for Uprising i think we will only enter 2 sides so we dont have to replace any player in the team

Am I missing something here? I haven't even seen a start date announced, just the team lists needed to be submitted. I wasn't even aware the FBL and SL team lists have to mirror each other.

So it's all well and good saying the season should start when it's been proposed...fact is...it hasn't even been. (not to my knowledge, Sunday is just a date assumed by some on here)

It's ridiculous that anyone can request the season be postponed when they are the ones who poached in the first place. Uprising are fine for the season to start next week and therefore it should start next week.

If you delay the season for another week it would be a complete joke to be honest after one captain has called for it.

Normally if you ask for entries and teamlists the season has always started the next sunday which would be this sunday, traditionally.

Keith can take a well deserved break and say next sunday which gives him time to sort, i have no problem with that, just telling you what happens traditionally.

What are you on? I haven't called for the season to be delayed - I said it could be to give Uprising time to recruit or other teams to get their team lists complete. I'm not bothered when it starts...my grievance is more around the 2 players i added not being permitted to play from the start due to a refusal when in the past I've been told to release and just accept it.

The delay was to totally support and back up buckjams thought pattern.

Ask Keith for a "Force Removal" like most other clans have done, problem solved. I'm fairly sure Stu can magic up two members as well as Uprising is the clan, people want to go to as most members are drawn to Champions

It has nothing to do with a force removal.. the signings were made on the 8th and the deadline for team lists were the 7th. Hence they cannot play in the first fixture set.

Its like signing a player mid-way through a season.
