Experience wise he can help, but also keep DDG on his toes and compete for the position, wouldn't want him become complacent like Simon Mignolet who has really no competition for his place.



32's not old at all in fact thats around the age Goalkeepers are reported to be at their peak. All those saying they don't really like him, he's won more trophies than most, had a weakish defence in front of him, so hopefully If/When Uniteds defence is built or bolstered our back line including GK with be very resolute and strong.

Bring it on, I personally would like Hummels and Varane or/and Sergio Ramos. Would prefer Coleman or Cuadrado instead of Dani Alves too.

Dani Alves, Pique, Puyol & Abidal/Alba. That was one of the toughest defences in the league!

All the commentators kept saying were their attack were/is always great, it's their defence which keeps leaking goals. So I agree about the caliber of players they have and on paper they are and should be awesome, but they still seem to leak goals.

Ever since some of their top players have either moved on or retired their defence has been suspect to say the least IMO.

Alves is class but Pique and Puyol are overrated imo, there defense very rarely had anything to do and when they did you could tell how much they struggled.

I think varane is quality and he's only 21, pulled off an unbelievable tackle on griezmann last night, not a chance him or Ramos will leave Real Madrid

Up until about the 10th league game of the season at least, they had only conceded 3 I think and that was to Real Madrid...Played 17 in the league and only conceded 8 goals (3 of which were against RM)

They don't concede a lot of goals but when they do It's normally down to poor defending, same as bayern

It's generally from set pieces. Barca play a possession game, the other team don't have possession so they can't score.

Yup hence why they don't concede many goals, exactly the same with Bayern, but when the defense gets tested It's clear to see how much they struggle

His contract with Barca is 20 mill Euros per year, and buy out clause is 250 mill. That would be 330 million Euros, or just under £260 million. Not sure where you got your figure from mate unless you have Messi's buy out clause higher than that.

Ronaldo on the other hand, has a buy out clause of £1 billion. So fat chance of anyone signing him

Yeah he did m8 but not many defenders would of pulled that off without giving a penalty away, one of the best tackles you'll see imo

I guess that is including a much bigger buy out clause, it's never been properly confirmed as increased from his last one.
