Also might mean nothing but Messi has started following Chelsea on Twitter or Instagram (can't remember which?).......

Instagram - doesn't mean anything - Only 3 teams could afford him not Chelsea - R.Madrid, B.Munchen and Man Utd.

IF he did leave wouldn't be till the Summer and by then would have a New President or board so all would have cooled down. Luis Enrique will be gone before Messi.

Chelsea could easily afford him. Real Madrid want Hazard and they'd pay big money for him for two reasons. 1) Bale could be going to Utd and they'd receive big money for him and 2) they'd know Chelsea were going for Messi and it'd weaken their biggest rivals in Barca.

I wouldn't write it off.

Very nice thinking, but I wouldn't want to watch Barca without Messi

Bale won't be going, he's said himself he doesn't want to leave, on the sky sports app It says Real Madrid, PSG and man city are the only teams that could afford messi's buy out clause, really can't see any paying that kind of money anyway

I hope not! La Liga needs to keep hold of its star players

Sure sign that De Gea is off now, confirmation that Valdez has arrived, phew

Never rated Valdez, very rarely had anything do at Barca and still made loads of silly mistakes so It will be a big test for him in the prem. It will be a big blow for United If De Gea does leave.

Valdez is happy to be Number 2 - DDG will sign a new contract soon too. Then finally can build a defence lol - Hummels to start with as he's our primary Target may get Gundogan for 16m too - Mata could be off to Juve.

Why would he be a happy #2? He was part of the greatest side to be seen, seems strange he is now content at sitting on the bench and not fighting for #1 spot..

He turned down Liverpool to take up #2 @ Man Utd (18 months contract) OUCH now that's Funny!

Loads of fans thinking its a way of enticing Messi - yeah right. LOL

Well actually, Liverpool turned him down because everything was agreed except he wanted to be assured of a no.1 spot and we didn't want to give him that.

If I was a United fan I'd be worried it was paving the way for De Gea to go especially when it comes with Madrid sniffing around.

Are you for real Zante?
So you're now saying because Liverpool refused him #1 spot he chose United as #2 -

Doesn't say much about Liverpool then does it. They should have fought harder to get him instead now have to rely on Mignolet and Brad Jones lol.

Ochoa would be a good signing will he sign for you...not sure.

Hummels 3-1 now 5/4 to join United in January

You clearly didn't read what I said properly, I think he wants to be number one at United. He wasn't getting that assurance at Liverpool because he was injured and couldn't pass a medical so we backed off and then he went on to train at United. No surprise he signed a contract with them. Odd timing with the transfer window opening, very suggestive.

With Cech a potential target, and Valdes training at United, it's a no brainer. Even if we don't get Cech. We don't need a new keeper, f we signed one it would be potentially good but not necessary if we can get decent form from Mignolet.

He won't be number one at United DDG will hopefully sign his new contract offer next week. He will enjoy another Spanish associate alongside him.

Ideal situation for United is both fighting for number 1 an rotating between depending on who is doing best in training. But I would've announced De Gea's new contract signing before Valdes getting a contract (or announcing Valdes after the transfer window if De Gea isn't getting a new contract).

For De Gea, best move is to Real because he'll own the Spanish number one spot for years and win more trophies in a better squad.

Agree the method is a little backwards but here's to hoping he signs the new contract next week. Some papers are claiming we might go for Tim Krul should DDG leave but hope not. Would prefer Lloris.

Ideally would like DDG and Valdes to fight for the number 1 Jersey - DDG could use Valdes as a mentor.

Don't you mean the other way round?

Valdes' weakness was always crosses, DDG has just learned to deal with crosses, which is where RM are currently struggling at the moment.

He would be a perfect fit in a RM shirt, it's not too hard to see what is happening.

ive said this before it isn't his form, its the total lack of a defence in front of him that makes him nervous
by some class defenders

Gerrards departure shows also Rodgers is grasping at straws now

Gerrard still had so much to offer, Rodgers has done nothing but undermine him

Rodgers knows that Gerrard still has so much to offer, but Gerrard himself said that he was not willing to be left on the bench. At LAG he will be a starter and earning far more money than he ever was at Anfield.

I reckon Stevie G will do a Lampard and play another season in the Prem with another team. He said he''d have stayed for another season had the club offered him a new contract in the summer.

As for Valdes, I've never rated him and don't think he's cut out for English football. He's old and started struggling at Barca in a much easier league with a much better team around him.

Gerrard said he couldn't play against Liverpool that's why he's going America so there's no chance of it happening, Valdes is only 32 that's not old for a keeper, hahaha at de gea could use him as a mentor tho, he'll want improve his game not make it worse lol.

If someone pays messi's buyout clause and signs him on a 4 year deal It would cost them around 690 million lol what are the chances
