13/14 Season
Rooney - 11 Goals
Eto'o - 6 Goals
Torres - 4 GOals
Rooney has score more then the pair of them put together...
And i believe he is classed more of a Attacking midfielder these days and can ping a ball around the pitch like paul scoles used to....

Rooney has 11 in 24, not the greatest and there are better options do I don't know why Jose would want him particularly with united so unwilling. Rooney is supposed to be signing a new deal to finish his career at United so I don't see the Mata deal being part of a deal for Rooney in the summer. If t was involved in a Rooney deal then that move would be going through now and not the summer.
Torres needs to move on from Chelsea if he is to get anything more out of his career. He doesn't fit (apparently Mata doesn't fit Jose's style, why not get rid of Torres as well). Eto'o is a back up striker who does what he was brought in to do, get important goals but not necessarily often.
Rooney is the type striker Chelsea need, but there are better and more viable options. He's not an attacking midfielder though, he's an adaptive forward. In a 4-5-1 system he could play a CAM role but he's still more of a CF in this role than a true midfielder.

no chance Rooney will go to Chelsea
no chance at all
Real Madrid maybe but i think he will stay at utd
why would he take a backward step, apart for money
i really dont think he needs that either

I have to agree with Craig, is not a particularly good deal for anyone. Perhaps it is time for him to move on in the summer but he needs to go abroad.

chuffed to bits getting through to the 5th round last 16 of the FA cup
playing Southampton again
2 draws and a win against them already this season
wonder if Rooney would consider Sunderland, would be in a cup final if he came, we have a little more to offer than man utd this season

Why won't Chelsea recall Lukaku? He's like a carbon copy of Drogba except stronger! The man's a beast. I'd have thought Jose would be chomping at the bit to play him now..

Same reason they won't recall Courtois, they want them to finish their loans because they are young despite them being ready now. I understand them not recalling Courtois while they still have Cech but they have to be careful not to lose him because he's got such quality at a young age that any club would take him (perhaps Bayern aside). Lukaku is ready to benefit from a great array of surrounding talent but I feel Jose/Roman wants to give the current strikers a turn since they've done them well so far

Man City vs Chelsea in the FA Cup....Got to be Man City's trophy this year. Man City's strike force are just too strong for Chelsea and I can't see Chelsea scoring more than City to win at the Etihad. (I can see a 3-0 or 3-1 on the cards). Liverpool at Arsenal could be interesting and very hard to call. I'd say a score draw with 'pool winning the replay or possibly Arsenal slightly edging a 1-0 or 2-1 win.

Courtois up and coming
so was Ross Turnbull, a tremendous English goalkeeper when at Boro signed by Chelsea to sit on the bench, killed him as he watched Joe Hart elevate to England's number one
4 years he sat there getting snippets, at least he was true to football and refused a new contract, not a lot of pros would do that
he is now at Doncaster on a lot less money playing week in week out
applause Ross a great lad and great keeper

Could be a clause in the contract stating Chelsea can not recall, quite a few loan contracts have that now for some reason, so unless mutually agreed by both terms the loan will probably stay the duration... and I can't see Everton agreeing to that.

Wouldn't have thought Chelsea would do that when West Brom were so interested.
What a result tonight, 4-0 and if could've been more. An important clean sheet under stern pressure but a great result. Going in I didn't feel Everton were going to be as strong as at Goodison but at times it was easy. Cracking match at Southampton as well

Firstly regarding Lukaku... I heard a buzz going around a few weeks ago that all loan deals Everton are involved in have a clause where the player can not be recalled unless agreed by both parties, or a significant injury where the player would probably not play again this season.
Now to the match...
Don't even know where to start parts of last night are just a blur. Yesterday at about this time I wasn't feeling confident at all in fact quite the opposite I thought it would be so close and either a draw or them probably trumping us by a goal.
Was not expecting that. Best atmosphere we have had at Anfield for years, best we have played all season at Anfield and boy oh boy did we deserve it. Even Aly Cissokho had a half decent game, there was times when we were 3-0 and 4-0 up When Suarez or Sturridge were tracking back to help Cissokho out at Left back.
Best I have seen us play for a long time, could so easily have had a few more too. the penalty was as described in the interview afterwards, unfortunate, then after that Sturridge was on a 1 man mission to get his hat trick and started playing for himself not the team. Brendan was right to take him off and I think that was probably the reason.
For me though our best player had to be Coutinho, back to his old self linking up everyone and doing it so elegantly.
Missed all other games but hoping to catch them tonight on MOTD.

With Mata at united I can see them getting 5th, Everton have dipped slightly and I think united will have a better second half of the season. Spurs look like challenging for that spot but I think it would take more bad form from United to stop them getting 5th. Title hopes for united are ridiculous unless they get 2-3 more signings like Mata. I can't see City or Chelsea dropping that amount of points to even allow them in the race, Arsenal and Liverpool could but I think both are strong enough to see off a threat.
Arsenal may be about to start their dip in form, the way they bounce back now is crucial. They've shown they can get a result under pressure, but they're out of the driving seat and City have shown such a great ability to score from anywhere only Chelsea and Liverpool have been able to limit them in the league. Everyone else could leak 4 or more goals at any time. I can't see them being stopped now. Though Arsenal can still pinch 2nd as I don't see Chelsea as a stronger team. They can just grind out results where they really should've like United did for years.
A title challenge from Liverpool I feel is out of the question, though a positive attitude towards it is good for a boost of morale as theres no pressure to delivery but still a feel good factor.
And Chelsea's loaning and transfer policy baffles me most of the time so it wouldn't surprise me. Though I'm sure with Everyons injuries they could offer a few others to provide depth form them.

Oh and I said as it was awarded Gerrard should be taking the pen. At 4-0 they still posed a goal threat to us, 5-0 would've killed them off completely. Someone probably should've composed him beforehand though haha

True ^ I missed that one, apologies to Sunderland (a few others have beat them but only Sunderland have kept a clean sheet that I can see).
Though it was away and in their worst patch of the season. They still dominated the match after the goal. At home I would be surprised if they didn't put 3 or 4 past you. They've scored 19 in the last 4 home games and I can't see how Sunderland will keep them at bay again, plus they have Hart back in form, not Pantilimon. If they have 24 shots against you again at home, they'd probably set a new seasons best for goals scored. But you should give them a difficult match.

Let's be fair....I think City look like they can go out and hammer any team in the UK. It'll be very interesting to see how they get on against Barca when they're so attacking. Yaya will play a massive part in that game....he'll either win it or lose it in my opinion. He wanders too much in certain games (albeit the majority are against lesser teams) and won't track back as much...but then he can put a real shift in when he wants to.

you can quote stats all you want, to win a game you need to score they didnt
and we were far from being humiliated
weve now beaten them at home for the past 3 seasons, thats not luck thats tactics
