Never said that, you dug in and defended well. All's I said was the same won't happen at the Etihad, I think you lot would take a 2 or 3 nil loss because they are capable of putting 7+ past you. This season, they are capable of being the best in the world especially at home.

we've been written off all season
climbing the league steadily
a cup final
and Southampton to get into the last 8 of the FA Cup
Man City will take us easily, as most big teams do
Man City will be playing at least twice a week when we play them at the Etihad
FA Cup
Europe
Premier
anything is possible in football anything, that's what makes it the greatest game in the world
i want Man City to do really well in Europe because it helps us
i will leave at that, but time will tell.

You've not been written off, you've been underperforming and everyone knows that. Since Di Canio has gone, Sunderland should be safe. I'd say 13-14th is a reasonable aim. If you'd have kept him then you would've battled relegation all season most likely.
Anything is possible, particularly in the cups. That's where you have a chance, your league position will most likely help lift your team even more after the bad season you've had in the league - a cup final is something special and the atmosphere should be special for you after a disappointing campaign so far.
You go to the Etihad for the league match in 12 days, Man City have a great squad and i'd expect a lot of rotation but I think it will go more against you that they play in Europe after the FA cup. They will want their best for the Barca game, so they'll be rested for the Chelsea game and I expect you'll come up against a strong side.
Sunderland play the same 3 days as Man City. Saturday, Wednesday then Saturday (fa cup). So you'll also be aware of players needing to rest. Will be interesting to see what teams are picked by each manager, as at the end of the day it's them making the decisions.

So it's not gonna be 3-2?
Newcastle look hopeless and Sunderland look pretty good. If they both continue like this Sunderland would finish the season above Newcastle.
Reports are suggesting Arsenals loanee Kim Kallstrom picked up an injury in his first training session and is out for 2-3 months. Oh dear indeed if that's true, Wenger won't be a happy bunny but then again when has he been a happy bunny

"New Arsenal signing Kim Kallstom is set for a spell on the sidelines with a back injury that was discovered in the medical before he signed on loan from Spartak Moscow.
"The 31-year-old Sweden midfielder sustained the problem on Tuesday while playing football on a beach during Spartak's pre-season tour in Abu Dhabi.
"He informed Arsenal of discomfort upon arriving at the club on Friday but, despite an MRI scan showing no damage, a CT scan found an issue with his back.
"The Arsenal medical team provided manager Arsene Wenger with the prognosis, but it was decided Kallstrom would still join and undergo his rehabilitation with the Gunners.
"He is expected to miss at least Arsenal's next six games, in which they face Crystal Palace, Liverpool twice, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Sunderland.
"Kallstrom did not train with his new team-mates on Friday or Saturday and will briefly return to Sweden and Russia before moving to London and beginning a course of treatment.
"The former Lyon player, Arsenal's only signing in the January transfer window, joined on loan until the end of the season to provide cover for injured midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere, plus the suspended Mathieu Flamini."
Arsenal signed him with an injury, to replace injured players. I'm sure Arsenal fans will love that news.

Fantastic team performance and should silence a few critics no title expectations, just keep playing like this and we should be playing champions league football. Expected goals but not like that
