We have 5 runners. All have been announced when appropriate but;

Tbh reading through and I havent got a clue whats going on, I generally don't read this anymore as it seems it depends on who posts an idea more than the actual idea...
(to the point i have asked people to post my ideas as people shot down mine without reading)
But if what im going to say has been said im sorry, BUT
I think there should be a default limit... if your team gets so many defaults then they shouldn't be allowed in the league.
Also am aware that people are debating about setting up a panel (good idea) though the saame people will be asked.
For example I have offered to help run the league 3 times yet people with not much experience have been given the nod over me.
I personally would like to be on a panel if one was made up but am aware I won't be asked.
Do feel 3 leagues are over kill.
and i think my stance on tactical subs are known ( though there needs to be a ruling are they okay or not)
Anyways think clans are generally getting stale. I don't have any ideas to re-energize them.
Maybe smaller clans?

The idea is to have 1 member from each clan, so if a default happens, the members from all the other clans (not involved in the default), predict what they think the outcome of that match would have been, should it have been played under normal circumstances.
In the meantime, the other league runners will have or one of the 'default panel' will have got the information on the default; how much contact, was it all one sided etc, and we then use this information to skew the information so that is fair.
eg. dvz plays kera, the average score will most likely be 14-1 (he will give kera 1), the default info shows that both players tried to play it, so the score will stay the same.
if kera made all the effort, and dvz none, the score could be skewed so that dvz gets 0 points, but kera still 1.
and same the other way around.

I just don't see how judging a scoreline from someone's ability is fair. And have already mentioned in a previous post how this can/will be manipulated.
Should be solely down to the players application and effort to get it played, that's all.
IF there isn't any then that's what the Teams Captains and Vices are there for, to ensure ALL matches get played one way or another.
If one player makes all the effort they should be rewarded or acknowledged for it, if the other opponent doesn't then they've not only let themselves down but their team also.

Such a horrible idea , so if I played Pete at say 9US and I done all the running and he made no effort , he would get awarded the win just because he's statistically far better than I am

It's flawed and unfair on a lot/majority of players, some of them neither bother
even trying.
You could arrange a match, play it report the result and it get submitted, why should someone who made no effort be rewarded for no effort and get given more points? I say NO POINTS for a default, just don't get any - must try harder.
3 defaults and you miss the next fixture set -
In your example you said dvz 14 kera 1 , if no effort made by dvz then skewed to kera just with 1 - how is that fair on kera? When she made more effort?

Don't forget, a default is the last resort anyways, yes we have had a few this season, but not as many as there normally are.
The punishment is on the player not making the effort, whereas hopefully still allowing the players who made the effort, to get a realistic amount of points that they would have (probably) won.
No system is going to have no flaws, but at least this takes into consideration a players ability, and then how much effort they both made to get the game played.

Don't forget, a default is the last resort anyways, yes we have had a few this season, but not as many as there normally are.
The punishment is on the player not making the effort, whereas hopefully still allowing the players who made the effort, to get a realistic amount of points that they would have (probably) won.

This isn't all about you Ash. It sounds a lot more fair to me than the current system so no harm in having a trial, and if the majority are happy with it then your opinion won't matter.
If you are confident that games will always get played then you never need to worry about defaults.

Thank you, as I keep saying, this is a last resort option, it will not be used much, but it is there when needed.
This isn't all about you Ash. It sounds a lot more fair to me than the current system so no harm in having a trial, and if the majority are happy with it then your opinion won't matter.

They look at the 2 players, and predict what score they all think the game would have ended, anywhere between 15-0 to 8-7 either way.
Then the runners look at who made more effort etc and take off points accordingly.
This way, if someone makes all the effort, they still get the allocation of points that they were predicted to have got.
