Just out of interest what happened to this site ? I use to come on and theyd be 200-300 people online, these days i struggle to get a game

Nothing has happened to the site, people move on and other things in life. Some say the site and some things on it has changed to much though to which that is quite true, but i think most people just have other things going on in life.

The reason you can hardly find a game is due to the amount of tournaments in a day. It does need decreased but as of yet this has not be spoken about much and seems to be ignored most of the time.

ahh shame from what i remember it use to have loads of members but like i said i took a break for ages ha, ah well shame

just out of interest every member thinks there should be less tourneys and this has been expressed numerous times, so why has nothing been done yet?

cause nobody listens mate, whats the point of having forums if peoples points get ignored, those in the ivory towers obviously know best

Tournapoints is pointless too. You could be the best player on the game but all you need to do is be online for 24 hours and the day event is yours. The only day event I ever won was when I was ill off work n had nout better to do so I stayed on all day and won with ease. Its a pointless attraction and the same faces are always at the top. Not the ones with skill, just the ones without lives.

Obvious so many people use this site even thought hey hate it really...

It was the regulars and gameplay that made this site great so never listening to the regulars was a mistake, a mistake that can be rectified.
Why not try cutting the number of tournaments and some of the other constant suggestions, nothing to lose numbers are terrible at the moment anyway.

Well people are making suggestions to get the numbers back up and you just use it as an excuse to have a whinge and get some attention every time.

This game has been going down the drain for upwards of 2 years. The reasoning behind this is that people have lost interest in the game, and new people haven't picked up an interest in the game.

Craig is right in saying that an influx of resetters/multi-accounters may have driven away people who played this game casually, but i think that is irrelevant, as it is the decline in new people, something which isn't affected by what goes on within the game, that is the heart of the problem. People will leave the site over time, that is a 100% assurance, however people joining the site is not an assurance, which is what needs to be changed.

As it is, this game is limited by it's very being. It's an online pool game. There are limits to the amount of people that would be interested in an online pool game, even fewer that would make accounts that they stay on, and even fewer than that, that create accounts that they then use to access the community. This means all the ideas that are being brought up to change the site are stale and simply recycled.

The truth is boys and girls, this site has limitations, and after several strong years, i believe it's reaching them.

The site is dying a slow death. The only person who has the ability to stop this is Nick and he seems to have lost interest. Everybody knows that the community is no longer listened too. A couple of months back, we had a lot of people complaining on the forums and suddenly out of nowhere he implemented a handful of small changes in the space of a couple of weeks and everybody was happy. That isn't a healthy scenario.

Simple solution - Advertise! Spread the game! Has anybody ever honestly seen either site advertised to any degree? I just had a quick look myself, and the site is incredibly hard to find! No wonder we have an incredibly low influx of new members.

Before somebody jumps on my back, I am not slating Nick. He has done an incredibly good job, but what's the point if he is going to leave the site in the current state it is in?

Maybe I am being too harsh and expecting too much, but I have personally seen no discernible difference between the speed of improvement of the site after the implementation of paid memberships. That suggests to me that the site is viewed simply as a little earner on the side - There's nothing wrong with that but if that's the case the sites fate is already sealed.

When I first joined, we had an update at least every month. We are lucky to get 1 every 3 months now, which is a terribly long time for an online game.

Everyone who comes on this site can see the potential that it has, it just needs a backer who agrees.
