not with them words but i agree with him,why tried to fix something that ain't broken? it was nothing wrong with the old style,now all they have to do on 9us is hit it hard and some of them will go in :(

If you where that good pubby you would still be winning and getting used to the tables. More active players have practiced and figured the tables out. You must be jealous and maybe figured out your not as good as you think you are...

i havent seen the post by pubby, i can gather from resulting comments the jist of it, i had a rant about it increasing the luck factor aswell, which is obv a 2 way thing, i played fuunky in a clan game where i had some v good luck at 9 us, and like i also posted straight runs wouldnt be increasing if pockets werent easier, on a personal note it puts me off playing 9 us which was by far my fav game type, has my game as players who play me regularly will tell u has very little do with luck has for a start its very rare i use over half power, and if theres no obv shot on i would rather play a safety or a containing shot,only a small percentage of players will play like this and try and return the safety, certainly the better ones, l lures , beenjammin , dvz, p steve etc.., etc... and then the players around my standard say pubby, kingpooluk20, vegas etc.. etc.. trty to play the game right, then u get others who will just smash at anything and send balls up down and across the tables in the hope they will go in, and its happening more and more since pockets got easier as more and more flukes are goin in, plus if they fluke they have a vgood chance of clearing anyway after, it does really meen that the law of averages says that overall the best player wont always come out on top

absoloutley unreal, just played jimfaboed in tourney,i snookered him he gets outy of it then flukes 3 balls in a row, he potted the 3 the 5 and the 9 off the 1 ball including at least 3 cushions and 2 ricochets a shot,then next frame he finds a shot to pot 8 across table that he d never pot considering on they 6 ball he couldnt roll a ball down cush in pocket and people say that the pockets havent increased luck factor, well i think they have

so? their is no counter for luck everyone gets luck at some point. get over it -_-

There was another thread recently which showed that the pockets have not gotten wider (they're a tiny bit further in, which may pot a few more rattles). I think it's their appearance which makes it easier to aim at than before- but you still have to hit the same size target, so it shouldn't really be increasing flukes.

you may be right mate, i may just have come across fluker after a fluker the few times ive come on and played,i really think esp in middle bags fluke shots or not the angle in which u nan double has certainly increased, i played coastal earlier and he made the same shot twice and i said to him , genuinley could u make that shot before, and he replied no chance, i really fell its changed peoples attitudes toewards the way they play the game for the worst, they seem to content to hit n hope, unless u select ur opponenent

true but you learn a lot when you not been able to play for 4 months, my longest sabatical since early 2007 ive learned that luck comes in all shapes and sizes and it evens out so just got to get on with it

it is boring though if people go on about luck all the time.

ive always said luck will even out over the course of numerous games, the point im trying to make is how u rely on it doing so, ud be hard pressed to find too many comments aboiut myself being unlucky on here b4 the changes if any, some players are genuinley playing no attempt at shots though and are content just tio sending balls anywhere round board in hope they go in, hippes and lethal make valid points though, it wont be undone, and lethal says to maintain rank at us u have to concentrate on every single shot, imm not as good as those 2 they are really good, i just dont seem to enjoy playing it at the mo

such is life! no 1 person on here can say they haven't had it, or been a victim of it. whether it evens out or not, doesn't really matter. if yer (not aimed at you m8) not happy with it......don't play it!!

quite simply it's a part of the game, and a lot of other aspects in life too.
