Thanks for getting the games done guys. I've not been able to get on for a couple of days but I've updated games now, and will do them on the website when I can.

Would like to say a massive thanks to everyone for getting all the 1st leg games done on time, and with the need for no defaults (ironically apart from my own game lol but I really have had no time to play this last week for many reasons, but the last thing I'll do is give a default in favour of myself ).

Also, I mentioned the other day about doing a golden cue for this tournament, I have done one already, just need to add a few games to it, and I'll stick it on the website when I can. I am going to just keep it continuous, i.e. not change it at the start of every season. So every player that has played a game in this tournament at any time will be on there somewhere.
This means, and it is totally up to the players whether they do it or not, that if it comes up that a match has already been won with a few frames to spare, in order to rack up a few more frames on the golden cue, they can continue the game until the full amount of frames has been played. Don't have to as I said, but if anyone wants more frames to be added to the golden cue then that's the way to do it

Might do, he's been offline 6 days, so I'm assuming he's been deactivated that long, so there's not long left before he can't come back.

Updated website now, and I've also put the golden cue on there if anyone wants to see. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to update that as games get played, or at each deadline. It's a lot of work to maintain the way I've done it lol

Not 100% sure how the golden cue works out mate, also its not fair on players who have opponents that refuse to play the rest because there so far ahead

It's just for fun mate, nothing in it. I just got bored the night I started doing it, and I thought people (especially the regular players like you) would like to know how they're getting on since the start, rather than just finishing a season and forgetting everything. Thought it might also give people something to aim for and another incentive to finish games.

But like you said, some people might refuse to carry on, it isn't a problem, totally up to the player/s, but I'm just trying to get it across to everybody that it would probably be in the best interest to do so.

Also, being at the top of this golden cue means nothing, other than you'd have played more games than most. This golden cue is going to keep running and running, so the more regular players that take part in the Knockout Cup will be at the top. I think the win % is more important to individuals here.

I could sort it by win %, but that would mean someone that has played, say 1 match and won 7/9 frames (77.78%) for example will be at/near the top and always will be until they play again. Would look stupid

you could do what Carom does and you have to play 500 shots before your qualified. In this case you could have to play 5 matches or something, that stops the win 1 frame and refuse to play the rest.

perhaps if you refuse lets say you win frame 1 and its your first frame thats 100% or 1.00 frame win ratio. Theres 8 frames left so you lose 8 frames without playing that would make it 0.125 or 12.5% a big difference there.

If you attempted to play you could prevent losing those frames

It's purely for fun, and I don't want to be sort of punishing people for not carrying on a game when it's done and dusted, it's totally up to them. But the golden cue is purely on actual frames played, defaulted frames aren't included.

But what I might do, is do 2 separate tables, one where you have to play a certain amount of frames to be in it, and it will separate the regular layers from the on-offers sort of thing.

true, im just thinking of frame %, its not fun if someone played 1 frame then never play again (like Call of Duty accuracy). If its done by frames thats better i think

I'll have a think into it. But at some point the frames required to get into the bigger one will have to change. Don't think it would be fair to do it at the end of every season because then most players will never be able to catch up and play enough frames.

I know, at the moment it's still in it's 'prototype stage' and is just there for anyone interested in seeing their stats . It will change eventually, just got to work it out . There will never be anything in it though, the games will just keep adding up

I don't quite get it either, i have never missed a game and played all frames but my frames played is lower than some.

Can't seem to get this game with Gaz done, he was meant to be on last night (i think that is what he said) just to be sure i will be checking around tonight again in case i got it wrong.
