the only problem with 2 leagues is division two.

on several occasions we see a clan in division one dismantle and then the players reassemble under a new clan name, as the top players are seemingly sticking together. when this occurs that reassembled clan tends to dominate division two giving the usual division two suspects no actual chance of taking a title.

when we did have 2 divisions this happened pretty much every season.

If a team dismantles during a season would it not be fair to conclude that particular season without them nor adding any other team?

That will ensure fairness to all teams within their league?

Only happened in recent seasons, when clans have seemed much less stable. Before that they worked very well, UT, MVP, Wipeout, Top Dogs usually solid div 1 teams with challenges from div 2 champions and the like.

It means they will actually compete for something rather than 6th or 7th place in one big division. Though if div 1 teams do fold and new clans come in with those strong players it can be hard for the low division teams, but they still actually get more of a chance of something. (As well as a good run at a golden cue competition, even when there are top quality clans in div 2)

It is not when it dismantles during the season, it's at the end. For example...

MVP won division 1 but then the captain decided to fold the clan. Someone else makes a new clan, recruiting most of the ex MVP members. These players reassembled themselves as The Professionals - as they are a new clan they must start in division two

Given the standard of the players, they are 95% guaranteed to win division two as we have seen time and time again.

I wasn't around in the old days but since I have been in clans, about 2 years, this is the cycle I have come to expect from 2 divisions

Thats why I mentioned deciphering the teams in League 2 by the mean from the teams overall stats?

Maybe another suggestion it to only allow players between 800+ to be able to participate in League 1. That would keep all the best players competing against each other. Also give more of an incentive for players to get to their level.

Just an idea, only trying think of some solutions.

I think for the time being we are best leaving it as 1 division and making it 2 when/if clan life becomes more stable I don't think limiting division 1 to 800+ would be fair as there are some great players that only ever reach 780 say. Also what about the players that reset a lot? I happen to know onevisit reset recently, but I am sure he has been 800+

also some 700s are good but never play ranked games, rank doesn't mean alot on funky

Is there any point to the friendlies this time round? All teams proved their reliability and the two new ones have league runners so they are guaranteed in as well.

I haven't got league runners, and also got players who haven't played in a couple months. Think it's a good thing personally to try and get players back into the swing of things.

Mich, jay was the one who restarted the clan alongside so of course you are in, friendlies for the rest of the teams are a pain and nothing more, I will bet anything you like in the world the two new clans get in regardless of games not complete! Friendlies have shown no such thing as reliability this season, how many teams started and finished?

That you making a decision on fcl there when you still contest you two run leagues separately?

No the boss doesn't allow me to make decisions in the FCL

You do however make a fair point and to perhaps prevent clans waiting longer for the new season to start, I shall just skip over the pre-season friendlies

Its not a hunch, ive been openly and actively berating friendlies for a long long time now and still stand by my points.

They dont prove reliability, simple as that, waste of time.

Yeah you are right from what i have seen in the past,

Only once have i seen a clan excluded and that was Underdogs from what i can muster from old threads.

Pool Sharks also for not acheiving minimum games played.
