The preseason friendlies have started. The games that matter have not. Changes can easily still be implemented without any harmful effects on the league.

More importantly- 1 frame can take a longer time if it's very close and poorly played. But 4 of them? Unrealistic.

Yes, it certainly takes longer to play 4 frames of straight than the other games. That's why there is only ONE OF THEM.

Let's compare the game types then- what will take longer:
4 frames of straight or the 16 frames of 8US which must be played in each fixture set?!?
