That is why I only wanted 1 to start with, I think they are quite a tricky thing to manage so we shall see how 1 goes
Yeah no problem, but another factor is that a team could have for example 3 players online, but one is in a tournament/playing a clan match and agrees to play killer when they're done. But, it has happened, that by the time they've finished 1 or 2 of their team mates have gone offline. Nightmare
I'm glad killer is back in regular fixtures. Although I don't think you'll need to go anymore than doing 1 fixture per set. In the past I've arranged/tried to arrange a lot of clan killer matches and it's really tough to get 3 or even 2 players from both clans involved online at the same time. Just my experiences though

you could do what D&C sometimes does on Snooker and look for opponents 10 pm each night and if you both have 3 on you play but that would mess with updating system as the update would be around 10:30 which would be too late.
could you write the update when you like long as its done daily? as if defaults are done at the end i don't think it matters what time the update is done long as its done

Games can be played at any time of the day, results can be posted any time of the day. I just want updates on unplayed games posted on the thread.
Updates should be posted between 9PM - 10PM so I can be online to check the players activity.

yeah but what if you arranged for 10:15 pm then you need 15 minutes to check activity (me and Seb know from checking 32 profiles on deadline night) so that makes it 10:30, what would happen, would it be scrapped?
also im not keen on no transfers, not because we can't sign destiny but because clans need to sign players to prevent folding and this rule may cause clans to fold but i could be wrong.
just feel a transfer window (or even 1 free transfer) would be better so at least then a player has a chance to switch clans. new players wouldn't be able to get the experience needed.

Asks us to put a ridiculous amount of effort in for killer. Stops us from signing free agents. Stops us from subbing when we want. Stops us from adding players without their approval.

I am sorry my default system is not as basic as Snooker's but I am trying to make the default decision fair by looking at the entire timescale and not just one moment in the entire fixture.

No accountability for the defaults? I have not had a single complaint about an unfair default this season unlike the other leagues across the seasons. There is no anonymous panel, there is not numerous varying opinions, there is just me and I am happy to explain myself if I have to.
Yes, the free agents rule might be a bit strict, there is room for change still.
Not sure why subs are coming into this, 24 hour cap to allow for the released game to be arranged and restrictions lifted on deadline day in the event a captain not making it online to avoid defaults.
Honestly, all this amazing regulation coming in-
- must post every day for defaults
- must post updates between 9 and 10 pm
- runner decides default (no accountability)
- can't sign free agents during the season
- cant sub who/when we want

1. No, you're still not judging the effort of the clan to arrange the game. If people are too busy to send you the daily updates, then that counts against them. So your default will not be based on the effort to arrange, but the effort to post. Skewed.

1. There are up to 16 people in a clan, SOMEONE can post. Missing a day or two might not necessarily count against you if you are consistently making effort the other days, however those missed days will be noted as default information not submitted.
2. Look at it any way you like, my default system has been a success this season, they are only open to discussion if there is a legitimate reason to do so. But all my predictions are made public for everyone to see with explanations.
3. There is no point in me explaining it as it is one of them things where opinions are split and I am not opening that can of worms. I have been suitably proven wrong, I don't want to isolate new players, therefore free agents will be allowed however no other transfer will be.

So it essentially comes down to either the captain (cheers) or someone we designate to sort out killer. Like I said, you're judging the ability to come online to post, not the effort made to arrange the game.
Which is why trying to do a true default in killer is pointless.

I think theirs some flaws on both sides.
On Snooker we just check profiles on deadline night and use an easy default system but doesn't determine effort before that. On the other hand it normally works as people come online for the 9 pm start time.
On Pool we have to post daily reports and the runner has to check profiles daily to see if we are telling the truth.
Personally i think checking profiles each day can be too much work for any runner but the counter argument would be that if this happens for killer then it should happen for every game which is impossible unless you have Jan's activity tracker.

I am simply looking for the fairest possible way to determine defaults. There are people on this site who make up a complete crock of crap for their defaults just for a single player, I am going to get 3 times that when looking at a KILLER default and would be extremely difficult to assess up to 32 players based on someones version of events.
It is much easier and precise for me to get daily updates which I am more than happy to check each night as I am online anyway. I don't escape this, I am a captain too, I have to contribute to the default page.
I do not think that judge and jury is a particularly good example, there are cases where the judge is the only ruler in the court. Publicly Judge Judy is a good example of this or a more private example is when we go to family court in a couple of weeks we will only have a judge and no jury judging us.
