What a joke of a rule, people are entitled to opinions and they are entitled to voice their opinions without threats of bans and point deduction.
Slander is a malicious false statement, if anyone is giving their opinion and you don't agree with it that doesn't make it false it makes it a different opinion.
'Bringing the league into disrepute' Come off it! People get charged with bringing the game into disrepute in football because they have multi-million pound sponsors to keep happy...damaging the reputation of an online game by giving an opinion doesn't happen...people play in it or they don't
The fact that league runners would even want to see people banned or points deducted is very worrying to be honest.

Nope as I said slander is a statement that the person knows to be false and says maliciously.
The person may be biased, they may not be but someone saying they think they are biased is an opinion.

Well let's be fair lee it is a deformation of character as people could then choose to believe the comment which in turn could cause people to dislike said person.

Wether it's an opinion or not if you think someone is being biased it's better to ask them in offline message Why they came to a certain decision if the evidence shows different? Would that not be a better way of putting it.

i wouldn't as anyone who got accused would deny it the only thing is proving that your not, trust me me and Jay has had it in FCL so we know what it feels like.

I think the FBL and this said rule that has been posted is ridiculous on many levels.

Horse - Warning for using the discussion thread for what it is there for, and some sarcastic posts, which he received as well as gave out himself.

Danny - Banned for one season because of a disagreement with runners, he was only sticking up for his clan to. Yet he gets a warning and then banned because he has his own opinion on people.

Jesus, if i had to do this in the FCL then half the league would be on warnings and bans due to remarks made to myself and my staff. Did we do that though? No we didn't, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if people can not take that then don't bother reading it. What next is someone going to be banned for i wonder...

How many times have we heard

'This decision is final and not open for discussion'
Then after we have carried on arguing the points the rulings have been changed.
That is the point of a league discussion thread, offline messages dont cover things because decisions affect not just one player or team but loads.
How can your character be defamed matty when you are a tiny UT picture and a name?
League runners are just people, same as everyone else. If someone thinks I am biased in defaults I will give them the facts...they are there on the forums for all to see then so that person's opinion isn't the only thing going around the site, if they still think i'm biased they are entitled to that opinion.

Lee, everybodies opinion is welcome as i have said, and you and others may have their opinion on this rule but what will not be tolerated is the players who give up their time for this league, being accused of being biased , or their honesty and integrity being questionned.

I'm not posting anymore on the matter as I have asked other people I have took it to offline message with people :-).

If I think someone is being biased in a decision then I will say so, you don't get a free halo when you become a league runner.
When you are a league runner or on defaults you need to be accountable for decisions you make, not have free reign to do what you like.

And I agree with you lee we don't get free role of course not but I would hope if you thought I was being biased you would have enough respect to offline message me and say OI Matty sort it out and at least give me a chance to explaine before its brought to public attention?

Sure if I did think you were being biased I would be having a rant about a situation and it woul be on the forum not offline message mate.
If somebody is being biased you would need a few people telling them so before they realised it or if a decision was wrong the best way to get it changed is it being the consensus of opinion.
Offline messages are useless for those situations.
Arguments on here get heated sometimes and people have a rant, doesn't mean they should be banned from the league or docked points.

But I think lee an offline message as there might be a simple explanation for something?8

If i've had a problem with a league decision before it has always been raised on the league discussion thread...that is what it is for after all.

Completely agree Lee. I think a few things are being forgotten here.

Firstly, as long as a post complies with funkypool posting rules, it can be posted here. Game staff are responsible for the content of posts, not league staff. With this, funkypool rules always take precedent over league rules, and I think people need to remember that naming and shaming is not allowed on the forum. Doesn't matter if you are an admin, a mod, a normal member, a league runner or anything, the forum rules are there to keep the site a nice welcome place for everyone .

If I was a new member wanting to get into clans, and I read the discussion threads to see what went on, and saw pages of bickering and arguments, that wouldnt be attractive at all! Just suggesting that everyone (and I include myself there) should just take a few moments to think before posting..

let me tell you some thing when we had defaults this season some of them was big to even my players was online
you are moaning over one default we had loads against us this season why moan just get on with it the result is final
it just show you that you never sent in enough information in for that default

not really, im sure for instance the Latin Legends vs Shooters default both teams sent in heaps of information, same with Divine Forces vs Latin Legends for FCL

Yeah but let's get to the important stuff like how I've somehow managed to use 100 messages on here today :-/.

i did that before and thought what the hell when i couldn't message anymore haha, now i rarely use it except league stuff + talk to seb on snooks.
