A player has no responsibility to play games if the opponent isn't online. What players have to do is show effort to arrange games. So when it's arranged, they log in to play.

the default that you questioned was carried out by an independant default panel, when looking at the information provided by both teams.

i would expect league captains to conduct themselves in a way that shows repect to people who give their time freely and try their best to do defaults with the information provided

Its another one of those defaults that favour the inactive player, just ask shooters they know about inactive players getting points in default to get to the final

id say your comments are niether accurate or constructive..if all you want to do is casue a needless argument for no reason that is fine it will not alter the default result

on another note, if you are so unhappy and do not respect peole who give up their time to benefit and provide people with a competive league, which provides fun and enjoyment for the majority then you maybe need to consider your posistion within the league

Point 1 - Craig, as a league runner you need to understand and respect points brought up from any member of the League. Dismissing them will do no good and will only make people have less faith in you as a Runner. Saying that peoples comments are "Neither welcome or warranted" will do no good.

Point 2 - The default that people are referring to in my opinion may perhaps have been a wrong decision, however it was a decision made by the default panel at the time. The default panel for the next season will be different and may help in bringing in hopefully fair results that the majority will be happy with, however this brings me to...

Point 3 - People have to realise that a default will not make everyone happy, however it is a decision made that is based on the information presented to the default panel.

To summarise, Craig, i understand your a league runner but it gives no right to pull rank on members of the league. Also, once in a while a default may go askew, or perhaps not come out as what was expected. Complaining about it probably wont do much good, but a formal appeal is more than welcome, as this will be looked into. However, random complaints and moaning wont be.

lilmisscragg sent a message and got no reply, there isn't any evidence of any effort to get the game done from rapid_pot apart from 1 message with 2 days to go, no evidence of any activity from him either.
Also while chris was online all day on the saturday as he said he would be your player was on snooker...if he had wanted to get the game done he should have logged into funkypool before midnight instead.
You've seen the way we do defaults Jay, you should know we look into things in depth.
Again didn't have to explain my own reasoning as nobody else does but I have no problem in standing by my decisions.
These are the facts as I interpreted the evidence, I spent a very reasonable amount of time digging into things as I always do so not prepared to debate any of the points.

Lee, my post was more aimed at the runners but as i said to Craig in private message i was not looking for an argument incase he thought i was. More of a reasoning behind the decision. I did say i would drop the subject though and as of now (earlier) i consider it dropped by myself. Thanks for the response though mate.

No worries mate, I would personally rather give an explanation if people are questioning a decision anyway. They won't agree with the decision any more because of it as it's their team and players involved or have other vested interests but at least they can see that the default was looked into properly.
