I didn't say anyone was looking for an arguement I was just saying this could be easier sorted via offline message.

It is merely an opinion and as it is a discussion thread, if it causes an argument am i meant to never post on discussion threads in case i hit a nerve

"just ask shooters they know about inactive players getting points in default to get to the final"
Although I agree, what are the odds of this hitting a nerve?

I know this doesn't really matter now, but how did the rapid_pot v chris game go in favour of chris?

It was rapid_pot v lilmisscraigg to start with, apparently she messaged Adam about the game, not sure if times where arranged or not but she then spent four - five days offline during that game, chris then subbed on the day before the deadline stating he could only play that day and Adam missed him by 7 minutes. Just wondering how it came to a 2 - 1 against when in my own opinion i would have thought maybe a 1 - 1 was fair.

Its another one of those defaults that favour the inactive player, just ask shooters they know about inactive players getting points in default to get to the final

Keith dont play dumb, you know that certain members would jump at the opportunity to be in an argument, all Matty is trying to do is prevent that from happening.

The default itself will more than likely be explained by either doubted_u2 or anoneeemouse.

It is my honest opinion, if i was LL and i had a game where the opponent had been inactive for 75% of it, and their is only 4 points to be won. I would have not been happy with the default.

And looks like you agree with me

Depends what you class as inactive I guess.

My understanding is that lilmisscragg sent a message that was never replied to right at the start? Who is to say with the new messaging system whether, had he replied, lilmisscragg would have then received it in her e-mail inbox and then replied or logged in etc. Of course we will never know because the message was not replied to. That could be classed as inactive too.

Given those circumstances, I would have expected it to be a draw, (1 point would have been fair for us), but really the fault for MVP not earning more than they should have done lies solely with their own player.

Exactly Chris, i agree with everything you said there, i would have thought a draw to. Seems lame complaining about one point, don't want to complain about it was just more bothered as to see why it went as a 2 - 1 loss.

I'm sure either doubted_u2 or anoneeemouse will present a suitable explanation

Although as per my point on the FCL discussion thread I am not sure either side really did a huge amount to get the game played so 0-0 would not have been too far off the mark as well.

Why should you reply if a player is inactive and you post saying they are inactive?

And i agree 1-1 would probably be fair but i would love to understand how it can go to a 2-1 win?

2 reasons

1) to show effort and 2) for the reason i explained above, the message may have been read in e-mail and acted upon at any stage before the posting started.

Not up to a player to send a message so an inactive player can read it in their inbox on email away from funkypool. To play a clan game it takes players logging into funkypool. By not logging in you should be penalised.

may as well delete this thread as you can't post a debate etc

= joking for those who don't know banter

but seriously i don't get why we have a discussion thread when someone posts something, negativity always seems to come out of it even if its genuine, fair enough if it goes too far have a word with the player(s) or post.

Of course you have to reply - if theres no evidence of it being read and the player doesnt log in then its all in your favour. If you dont reply then clearly thats a negative to be taken into account and given whatever weighting a default panel sees as fit.

Just checked - and it even says that in the guidelines.

As I guess this is aimed at me I'll take pleasure in replying .... I was stating a simple fact that sarcasm incites arguing when people are posting knowing it is going to cause an arguement then of course I am goin to say it is not necessary and as an ex league runner you also should know that it is very annoying to get to the parts of a thread which are important and need to read instead of reading through arguing.

Now as for replying to messages I think even if someone sends a message and then goes inactive for 3-4 days I think it's important these days to reply to that message just so the proof is there that u have tried to get the game played.
