i may be wrong here but if this guy was on TPA list (1 clan), move to DF (2 clans) then move to TA (3 clans) wouldn't that equal 3 clans?

im not taking sides, im just pointing it out

The way i understood it was that he never even wanted to play for TPA and the change was reversed, even though it was never made official. That is why the TPA one never counted towards him.

np i just have 1 question which will clear everything, the TPA case was the change posted in "Team Changes", if it was then it should be official if not then it rightly shouldn't count.

in future players need to make sure they are happy before doing the team change as thats a yellow card, sometimes i think players rush into clans then quickly want to change.

The above is meant to be on the website, when Chris was doing the rules for us. I had no reason to check the rules over at the time.

Dont bring me into it

You changed the rule after the season started.

... and wrongly in my view - league runners should never be able to dictate who plays for who!!

FYI - checked Team Changes and Team Changes (2) - TPA never posted bradonforest in and was not included on their initial teamsheet at the start of season

Right it is clear there has been some confusion here... one being that the rule that was meant to be on the site was not even there (being changed as we speak)

Dgeneratio - The team change for TPA was never posted, i already checked it then i double checked it, it was posted on their team thread but never was official on Team Changes.

So in return it was not counted and his first clan was Divine Forces, which was added to the site, taking the rule in to account he moved to Team Angry. I will wait for him to message me back though as this has got me confused now. He has been told in the message though if he wants to remain at DF then he needs to tell me soon as possible. If he messages me back then all is good, if he messages me back after new fixtures are released then due to the confusing what ever team he is on can use him for the last set.

if this is the case then its just a matter of where he wants to go now as the TPA wouldn't count as a clan.

im starting to think this transfer thing at anytime is a bad idea as i thought players would only move if they had problems within the clan but doesn't look like thats the case.

I'm not trying to bring you in to it mate.

It is on the site that we can implement a new rule if we see fit, a lot agreed to it to, i am sure i asked you to put it on the site but if i didn't then my mistake.

We don't dictate who should play for who though?

a single transfer at any time is acceptable in my opinion as a player should be allowed the option to move away from a clan they are not happy with. the one move restriction is meant to encourage a player to think carefully about their move

EDIT - it did appear to be favoured by most people who were in on the discussion at the time

Im starting think that any transfer rule is a piece of garbage these days . I like the mid season one that snooker league do but i dont want to implement it as you have seen many people on pool do not like it.

yup jem but people rush too much, i haven't seen many problems this season but sometimes i feel people think rashfully.

if i was in charge, i would just trial it can't do any harm right plus easier to control

2 weeks is too long for a transfer, 1 week should be enough, don't forget the transfer that we have not only allows you to be in the clan you want (you only have that week to transfer nothing else), but you get 1 week break from clan games as well

2 weeks is only 1 fixture so why that is too long is beyond me...if a fixture was 1 week then fair enough

because people would get bored, trust me if i play all my games in 1st week (did 9 a few sets ago) then you get bored during the 2nd week. many people on pool dislike the idea because of the 7 day break.

it dont have to be on a break...i didnt know a break was involvled as a fixture was going a player could leave a clan during that period its no different than the 1 transfer policy jst they can only leave during that 2 weeks

2.7 Player transfers
The league officially begins with the preseason friendlies. At this point players must stick with their clan. Transfers are only allowed during a 1 week transfer window later in the season. If a player transfers before the transfer window, they will not be eligible to play until after the transfer window.

After the transfer window, no further transfers are allowed.

There is no transfer window for Cup Games. Once a player plays in a cup fixture, they may not play in the cup for another clan.

thats what we have and works effectively basically the season is split in half and divided by that 7 day rest period, it gives clans chance to get 1 or 2 more additions

1 week would be too long, a transfer window could be seen as an opportunity for people to jump ship, you could end up with too many leaving one clan and that clan struggling to fill the spaces in 1 week therefore struggling to complete fixtures in the 2nd half of the season.
If any change I say go back to the way it used to be, no transfers during the season, get on as a team or sit out for the rest of the season, simple as that, this way captains could relax and not worry about MVP stealing their best players during the season lol
