The deadlines were planned at seven days to try and ensure all the league seasons finish at the same time. Plus potentially you also need to build in a couple of days for any defaults.

The longer a season goes on the less viable teams become as we have already seen.

Five games in seven days is hardly a tough task for the majority of viable clans at this stage.

It is something that will be looked at for next season. The transfer deadline is there to keep a consistency through both Phase 1 and Phase 2 and stop a team making wholesale changes once they have qualified for the play-offs. However people throwing hissy fits to quit a clan, only to subsequently back down and return 5 minutes later was not something that was legislated for at the time the rule was drafted. Although to be fair that was a major misjudgement and in hindsight should have been expected!!

When you have posted the rule on the News thread and on every participating clan's thread, in addition to it being in the Rules on the site, then there is no real excuse though!!

Oh yeah I forgot we have it at 10 days this season already. Would try for the same in the playoffs- but maybe it will work out well even with 7 days.

And I do like the cutoff for transfers.

If a player is removed after the transfer deadline then they shouldnt be removed then really just left in as the player cant be replaced anyways. Plus i was never posted out in this league. So dont get why i was removed tbh.

Thats how it was last season - however some complained when players that left a clan were then recalled to play games. Thus it was changed to how it currently is. But it will need further changing for next season.

Transfer Deadline

This is at the end of Fixture Set 4 on Midnight UK Wednesday 18th July.

Any players brought in after that time will be unable to play in any remaining games in Super League II.

In addition any players leaving after that time may not be brought back in to the clan.

There will be a transfer deadline on the day of completion of fixture set 4 in PHASE 1. From that point onwards no new signings will be permitted for the duration of the Super League season, including PHASE 2. Any player officially announced as leaving a clan after the transfer deadline may not play any further games for that clan for the remainder of the season.

Officially announced means from the FCL/FBL Team Changes threads as those threads were used to maintain the Super League teamlists (again as per the Rules).

By announcing departure of a player on one or both of those threads then they are no longer eligible.

Anyone is allowed to make a sub for any team as per the rules - only reason permission might be required is if those are their team's instructions.

^Completely agree with that. There hasn't been an exciting finish to any other league for as long as I can remember.
