Divisions 1, 2 and 6 are finished. Divisions 3, 4 and 5 have one game played. Division 2 sees each player winning one game and losing one, so we have to resort to the tiebreakers, which I have neglected to put up before now despite my intentions. D'uh. Basically they will go along the same lines as those used in the Double elimination straight pool tournament, and in http://www.funkypool.com/thread/18153/double-elimination-straight-pool-tournament/12#1265183 they are set out, and a key principle of the rankings is that when you get to 35, you win, and the extra points above 35 don't count (i.e. if you win 50-10, you've only got to 35 as far as ranking goes, cos 35 was the target score). Adapted for this tournament, therefore, the first tiebreaker among three players with a record of P2 W1 L1 is the score achieved by each player in his/her losing game, and you can look up and see that punkpoet's 33 places him on top, while w_hoolahan's 15 does him in.

Emmm... can't see it being any other way! You've been ranked above the other two, which can only mean that you top the division and go on to face scott7a, who has ousted beenjammin as the senior player in Division 1.

Tiebreakers for players who have equal records of P2 W1 L1
1. Score in the losing game
To quote from my other thread mentioned above, "A game of straight involves being the first to 35; any score after that is a bonus. If players have played and won the same number of games, they'll have the same number of 35s. The score in the losing games is where players' records will be different."
1.1 If two players have the same losing score after this tiebreaker, they will be split up using the result between the two players. E.g., If the scores are
A 40-20 B
B 42-15 C
C 38-15 A
B finishes top with 20 points in the losing game (each player is considered to have won with a score of 35), and then A and C are separated by the result between them.
2. Winning scores past the winning target of 35
If the losing scores of all three players are (unbelievably) identical, then we'll look at those extra points past the 35, i.e. the score in the winning game for each player.
2.1 If two players have the same winning score after this tiebreaker, they will be split up using the result between the two players.
3. Previous week's league position
Even then, if the three scores are completely identical (the chances of which have to be next to nothing), the positions of the players in the previous week will be looked at. Players will be ranked by division, and then by position within the division (which is possible where players are not promoted or relegated, or more than one is).
That should sort it!
By the way, if players have not completed all their games, other methods (e.g. reliability, etc etc) are looked into, not just purely results.

Straight Pool Friendly - jose_enrique (1) 36-26 (0) clooneman
Best I've played in a while... Biggest score I've got since I scored 26 in Week 18 (this is Week 25). Haven't won a game since Week 17... jose_enrique vs sarny_lad is therefore a promotion game. Deadline is still tomorrow.

Now for various comments and decisions. First up, beenjammin has finally (again) been ousted! After winning probably more games than anyone else on the ladder/league, beenjamin is toppled from the top as scott7a completes his (almost) unstoppable rise from the bottom to become the top ranked player.
Next, all three players won one game and lost one game in Division 2, the first time a division has finished that way. Therefore, we go to the scores each player got in the losing game, and that ranks punkpoet on top, followed by ritcho, and then w_hoolahan, meaning that punkpoet gets promoted after surviving relegation last week on a technicality, and w_hoolahan suffers a shock relegation.
In Division 3, one game was unplayed, and yours truly lost the other two, meaning that I get relegated. sarny_lad got promoted ahead of jose_enrique based on activity, and that was all. Had jose_enrique been less active than he was, he probably would have been automatically relegated, despite the fact that I lost twice. If players don't play, there are consequences, and that was nearly one.
mattywellie is on his last chance, although I know there's technical issues at play. He gets relegated from Division 4, while dgeneratio beat lethal_playa to go up.
9ballsniper_ is also on his last chance, but there's no issues or anything like that. He gets relegated from Division 5, while irish_ninja beat tweedweasle to go up and set up El Clasico with me after a long hiatus. 9ballsniper_ is replaced by Division 6 winner potlimit.

He played very well to be playing with lag, lots of combination shots which won him the game in the end. I had lag too but didn't take my chances anyway and I think the result was inevitable with such a great player!
