Individuals next season - personally i don't think many players are interested in it to be honest so heres what i propose next season.

a tournament (almost like snooker) with following game modes:

1 8US
2 9US
1 8UK
1 Straight

its up to you if you want "Arcade" makes no difference either way.

on snooker only the first 2 rounds has inactive players then usually heats up around the Quarter Finals, there are deadlines for this just like the league.

I would decide the obvious defaults and let the defaults team decide the rest

I am unsure players would like this as Individuals has always been a good competition for a player and not the clan. I think the players that do enter individual league have to be certain that they wish to play in them as some play a few games then just forget about it or don't bother, but i still think it is popular.

For those wondering about the Individual League for next season (if you dont want to go with James's idea above) i have asked James to be in charge of the individual league, that is if techno does not want to as i understand he is starting college/uni soon?

hes starting next month, i did agree to update for him but i have fixtures and golden cue to update, could you ask jem if shes able? if not ill have to figure something out.

ill be able to do it next season though as ill only be updating snooker with Seb and with me and Seb doing it it wont take that long

and its still about individuals Jay just adds some spice, you could be knocked out in the first round (i tend to all the time) or win the event, anything can happen

like the tournament idea because at the moment as soon as players lose a few games, they lose interest, whereas this way they are out

Perhaps introducing an old pools champions league type format into it?

what is the format? has to be odd though so no draws

and yeah i pretty much lost interest already in individuals but id still play if im contacted, i wasn't going to enter individuals next season, still debating if to play in FCL or not but the tournament always intruges me to play, would be 1 or 2 weeks deadline (depending on entries) and it can weedle out those who want to play and those who don't

Group stage (16 people) top 2 qualify into knockout stage of 8.

you could have 16 people in each type then. (4 less than usual)

could work, i would have to think of number of frames for each round (e.g. 1st, 3, QF, 5, SF 7, F 9, Straight would be half those so 1, 3, 5, 7 << Best of).

Yep, the group stage also means that somebody isnt straight out after one round, drags it out abit longer...

I would be unsure including straight and arcade, as its not part of the normal clan structure. Plus it splits up the amount of people in each, so you have more and smaller competitions instead of less and bigger.

In the Pool Champs League there is (if the interest is there) 2 knockout competitions after the group, the top half and the bottom half. Could be good for people looking to play more games, not being stopped by losing their first 3

Current individuals it only seems to be those challenging at the top that maintain interest throughout the season, a change could be good.

i wouldn't add arcade but straight was added this season although not many played might post a reminder on threads too.

Thats also a good idea.. it was called "champions league" for top 2 knockout and "european league" for bottom 2 knockout

that was a good implemention, means there is still something to play for for the bottom players, they still get an award, all be it not the major in the specific type.
