The reason or small print is for people to bend the rules. League runners have the right to reverse subs why don't you go all the way and pick teams for captains then. If a sub is made by captain it should stand no matter what the reason it is for.

Craig had followed every rule, for subbing david5 into the game. He posted on shooters thread, he posted on TPA thread, he posted on subs thread, all done an hour before the game was played.
5.6 Substituted players' eligibility
A player who has been substituted is eligible to play in any other game of that fixture unless they have played or started a game in same fixture. This does not apply to other league and cup fixtures being played at the same time. A substitution is considered official from the moment the captain has posted it in the substitution thread.
Yetti had asked to be subbed out of the game the day before, surely it is up to both players to check who they should be playing before a game is played ? how can the game be a cup game,and the result stand, when yetti had officially been subbed out of it ?
There is nowhere in the rules to say a capt has to inform a player they have been subbed out, a thread is there for all teams to check who they should be playing .The two players involved in the game are at fault not the teams.

but its common sense to inform your player? rick didn't check the thread because they had a game arranged and craig subbed 2 minutes later, personally if i know i have a game arranged i wouldn't look at clan threads either.

no matter what people say if the captain informed his player then all this wouldn't be happening now.


what if it was used tactically or to gain an unfair advantage? i am not saying craig is that type of person but the rule is there just in case it does happen (remember it happened last season).

you two are default staff aren't you? so you could log onto the website and vote "No" for the result standing.

i wasn't sure what to do in this situation as both clans had valid points which is why i let it go to the defaults team who would have more voices and make a fair prediction.

but like i said the Poll ends tomorrow morning and no matter what option defaults team vote for i will stand by that choice 100%

There is no rule to tell players your subbed, it's a farce if it's not void.

if he was sub out the day before why was he still in the fixture and doubted2 only swap him at the last min

or pm not to play that game knowing both players was online at the same point

I need to change my vote.. if it was before the fixture then the games shouldnt stand, we are league runners we have no interference in how a captain runs his clan, including what he tells his players therefore the game shouldn't stand.

Doesn't need to be in the rules, surely its common sense and a captains duty to inform your own player, in this case yetti was online so a simple pm wouldve done, game wouldn't have been played then, simple

yetti asked the day before to get subbed out, why wasn't he when he asked and why did he go ahead and play if he wanted subbed out, obviously changed his mind lol

Craig didn't inform yetti he was subbed out even tho yetti was online

big_mouse didn't check for a sub being made, would you expect one 2 mins after you post a swap, I wouldn't have checked and I doubt anyone else would've.

Lets be honest, you do a swap then arrange to play you think sorted would anyone expect that opponent whos online to then get subbed out ?, I doubt it.

I would always expect my opponents to know whether they can play or not.in this case yetti was playing a fixture he was put in for, he didn't know any different because his captain failed to inform him.

Informing your own player doesnt need to be a rule but if captains cant use a bit of common sense maybe it should be added straightaway to avoid this situation happening again.

Im surprised this has gone to a vote, captains have control over their players, if he chose or forgot not to tell him it doesnt make any difference on our decision because the sub has been made!

Absolute joke this has even got this far, James you need to re-think your decision to take this to a vote mate.
