i can think of a scenario though.

what if a player claims they sent messaged, assured captain not to sub and turns out they didn't by the deadline

He would be leaving any clan i ran that day, no point in that player playing in clan league

I am not saying captains shouldn't believe the player but when its getting near the deadline captains should decide whether to sub or not, not the player, if an oponent is on and you have a sub on get it played, doesn't matter what the score is, you get your points for frames won and the no default bonus (possibly 10 points), don't play and you could end up with alot less.

It may be the players fault but a decent captain would react and sort it out and not allow it to happen again with that player in his clan, also as a captain in the second week of the fixtures i would be looking for any of my players who were online at same time as his opponent anyway and sub them in, which would mean game was played anyway. (Back to clans requiring good strong captains )

On defaults then
Thing that I don't understand is at the moment defaults are decided between 2 players efforts and that is the 2 players that are in the tie at the end...in most cases the player who hasn't made any effort is subbed out close to the end.
Wouldn't defaults be better decided on the efforts the captain/clan has made to get the game done? which includes the players attempts.

I would rather see more rewards in bonuses (10 points) for no defaults than taking away points that players have earned by doing minus scores.
Agree though that it doesn't have to add up to 15 per game meaning a 6-0 result if that's what's deserved

Default decision is based on the player for that match even if they were subbed out, if that happens the subbed in players would have their effort looked at too.

I hate the fact that a non trier can get points from a default when thay made no effort to play there match.

Example - MVP vs Eights (Clan Cup Semi)

I was captain and fought for my team like any captain would, 4 games played one not played. Was gerard (Midgett) vs destiny. Gerard made no attempt to play game (even when he said he did) blah blah. I forfeited that game as was unfair to MVP. then find out default would have been 8 - 7 MVP. Totally not right 12 - 3 MVP should have been as player before gerard made some effort. Bare in mind it was 30 - 30 after 4 games lol

If a captain is honest and makes a decision like that you can have nothing but respect for them.

First off when it comes to dispensation for captaining a clan then your user name has not had a season in a clan (unfortunately you weren't able to take over and got booted) so why should you be allowed to captain this new clan of yours. Secondly, you say you were previously captain of a clan under the name Rick, you also called yourself Scott for the majority of this season. Can we believe you have actually had a seasons experience. Under the actual rules of the league, you should not be allowed to run a clan!

Tokko big_mouse (Rick) has had more than an seasons experience on his last account no_talking. Thats why he was given the go ahead to captain TPA.

Tokko i'll be doing the same thing as everyone knows that this account wont have a season experience, however i personally have done. Your being petty over a technicality.

As stated previous accounts do count under the captaining of a clan.

It's a dodgy rule in fairness, as there is no definitive proof, as when an account is either banned/deactivated, their email address becomes inactive until the account is deleted from the system (1 year down the line).

for instance it would be perfectly acceptable for me look through old posts for ginomanx3 for example, look at the way he speaks, create a name like ginomanx4 and pretend to be him. It'd take a while to do, but is easily done i think.

However, i aren't going to complain about this rule, as it means i can bring my clan back!

Bonus Points:
10 points are rewarded to the clan that wins a fixture, a further 10 points can be earned if that fixture does not contain any defaults. (The loser will also recieve the 10 points for having no defaults).
If the fixture contains a default(s) then the 10 points will not be rewarded. Winner of fixture stills recieve 10 points for overall win.
