depends on highest rank...
destiny on snooker is 990 in original so lowest he could drop to without playing is around 800-850
tiimmmyy in carom has about 850 highest and lowest he has dropped to is around 770
depends on what your highest rank is to minimum rank you can drop to without playing.
5) Daily reduction: a small amount is reduced from the top player's ranking.
someone who reached 950 would reduce until 800, 850 would reduce until 775.
Point is nobody can sit on the top of the rankings and still be there in 6 months...it's already covered so bisto doesn't need to take over lol

How can the system tell if a player is a 'fake newb' and give them less points? Impossible.

Another way at looking at it is the more points the so called 'fake newbie' wins the quicker they get to a truer ranking score and the less potential damage they cause.

admission on his profile if you check Can spot them a mile off also. Real newbies wouldnt get a chance of winning that many points,they arent "used" to the game.

so untrue there bisto - first time i played i hit 800 as a UK8 newbie and that was with the old ranking system over 100 games. i've seen alot do something similar just starting up to say the game can tell if your new or not is impossible as james said.
