On funkysnooker - the balls look normal and no vivid 'world map' reflections on each ball. As a result the balls appear to roll and all is well.....

On funkypool - weird reflections still (exactly the same on every ball) and the spin marker. The balls appear to glide across surface (worst in the UK game). Each ball looks like it has been in a dust bath and then partially cleaned, especially the cue ball, yellow UK balls and spin marker

Don't agree that we have moved forward joker - this is a dismal addition to the game. Bring back old non reflective balls like on snooker. Sorry to criticise this update Nick but not for me....

would it be that hard for people to get s choice as to whether they want to play with more detailed aesthetically pleasing details, or with the standard flat colour as before?

So funkysnooker has the new balls, cue ball and spin marker as well and the majority of comments are against the recent upgrade. So it appears that overall both on pool and snooker many would like the old balls and spin marker back. The old balls gave the impression of rolling across the table - the new balls give the impression of gliding. It looks bizarre especially on UK table.

So how about a choice just as you choose your table colour you choose the balls you wish to use. If a choice is not an option because of programming difficulties then old balls back please Nick.

Nothing has effected my playing, in fact I am playing exactly the same as before.

Weather this is reversed or not, my playing capability will not change.

Agreed, some people are never satisfied.

For me It's just the white ball and the spin ball look mucky, but doesn't bother me. The balls are "rolling" fine and don't see the problem at all there.

Nick did say earlier in the thread that the spin marker shouldn't have the reflection on it - and he said he would correct it

does the shine /gloss really matter ,its still lining up circles at the end of the day , wat does it matter wat finish they have ?

The only problem i have is the cloth on the edge of the pockets looks un-tidy! Raggered etc......
