This patch has rolled in a number of fixes aimed at improving website loading time. For first time visitors the time loading a page could be upto 25% quicker. For returning visitors this should be slightly quicker too.
Any problems please let me know - and importantly - please tell me your browser version!

I've now added some new US tables.
The table is in higher quality and it is now partially constructed as your game loads (in a few milliseconds).
What this means that it is now trivial to add more colours, and that the game download size has been significantly reduced too.

The tables look great - one tiny request from me if possible would be for a light pastel coloured option (silver grey, pink or pale blue/green?) with or without the lighting effect.

I like the look of the new tables, but I do feel that the colour of the lighting seems a bit too bright on the red table, I don't know about anyone else, but for me it's a bit of a large difference between the darkest and lightest areas of the table and does strain my eyes a little.

Hey nick,
Is it possible to add purple coloured tables to the options too, because i've realised that they're not there and they do actually exist in real life, so it'd be cool if purple was also implemented
Darky!

I got an idea, i did suggest this on snooker but it didn't really get much feedback.
how about you can select your own colour by hexadecimal for example...
purple3 #7D26CD
silver #E6E8FA
gold3 #CDAD00
cola #AF4035
etc etc etc
so all you have to do is write the hex code in to get your desired colour.
also can there be an option to turn lamps on and off because it is really bright and can be off putting at times.
cheers

Hey, not sure if it is related to this or just an error on it's own but I just had this message...
"GAME: Failed to load custom table, reverting to default"
The chat box was showing, however the actual table part of the screen was just all black, I had to refresh my screen about 4 or 5 times before it came on.

Some new changes:
1) Extra cloths for all tables (including tables with "flat" lighting). Original graphics have been converted to new format meaning a faster loader game. UK table has been changed with a lot of sympathy to the old table (ie minor changes).
2) Historic data for tournapoint competitions is available, they will be added to event logs for future events, but here are the latest:
http://www.funkypool.com/competition/tournapoints/best-score-day/year/2010/month/12/day/20
http://www.funkypool.com/competition/tournapoints/best-score-week/year/2010/week/51
3) Ranking drop reduced to 0.5. US 9 ball change set the same as US 8 ball (from 2.5 to 2.0).
4) Rocket ball bug fixed.

The blue ball on the original coloured cloth is now too light, should have left it at the darker colour, other than that I am happy!
