Rules are Rules should not have been changed without discusiion with all league runners.

i understand mate i really do but people will disagree with it.

yeah rules are rules, but only a few hrs before 12 and the message is sent out sayin it needs to be complete tonight..after one league runner had already passed on information...i dont see what any1 expects teams to do with 6 games remainin, deadline in a weeks time, then 3 hrs left, all 6 have to be played tonight :S

i know i shouldve made a choice earlier but

A) wanted to to talk to kenny
B) this got hit on today

I can sympathise with ant here, I know rules are rules etc but he has been told he is given an extension his players have arranged times to play and maybe not having gone out there way to be here.

Now they cant play arranged games when they could have previously arranged to be here if they knew this was still the deadline.

Not sure about 3 days, maybe 1 day or 36 hours due to the circumstances which have arisen. Not everyone will agree but it is a bit unfair if you look at it from some angles and fair from others.

Obviously all those 15-0's are a farce, I know something happened a while a go in clans (or was considered) where defaults got left until after the league and got given a wek or so then to complete.

Maybe do that, however with the team who have tried hardest give them bonus points for trying. If it equals out in the end both have tried to get the game played give them both bonus if none have dont.

Don't kill me for suggesting something, just an idea I had while having a beer.

not sure if extension will happen due to disagreements previously but its a grueling situation ive found myself in and not one i can get out of very easily as no matter what i do not everyone is happy

Been reading back through all this, it is disappointing that something that is clear in the rules and really shouldn't have been an issue.

There is a deadline when fixtures start to get games played. Why should this change for anyone?, i am sure there are times when all clans would like one but as it is the rules we try everything to make sure games are played by that date.

I feel sorry for TLK but even there active players have not fulfilled there fixtures which is unacceptable in itself. cmurphy has tried his best to recover a thankless task, but it does not hide that in any other season they would have been removed from the league, so again why should this season be any different?

The amount of games that would go to default will make div2 a joke, please can someone show sense and just apply the rules that have been in place to prevent this happening.

cmurphy, i wish him all the best sorting out TLK, but it should be for next season and not this one.

And as for top dogs, i feel really sorry for you as you have now got caught up in the cross fire which again is something that would never have happened if the rules that are in place had been applied.

i agreed with extension but i didn't agree with quarantine and thats when it kicked off and basically i was alone (no kev, no kenny (although hes here now)) and once i saw disagreements i had to make a choice based on feedback.

i assure you if this was on snooker this may not taken place as i let public decide and then talk with league runners for any rule or ideas.

kev suggested it and i went along with it even though i missed quarantine and i had no idea he didnt talk to kenny or league captains, only reason (this is truth) i went along with it is because i thought everyone agreed, obviously not.

can only apologise and will not happen again.

To be honest, seeing as there has been this mix up the priority should be to offer a day or 2 extension as the main thing about this league should be getting games played. Not being petty about rules. This has fallen into a grey area and I only see 1 decent thing to do.

anyway ill talk to kenny today and try and figure out something.

OK please would all captains vote on this thread as to weather to extend div 1 only has they have been caught up in a mess till 11.59pm tuesday the 29th of march.

if there is enough votes to agree by the majority kenny will reopen fixtures for div 1 olny as they got caught in cross fire so div 1 caps only need to vote thankyou.

I cant see what is so hard to fix, all you need to do is apply the rules, which would mean removing TLK from the league.

And then allow an extra couple of days for the extension that was given to the rest of the teams. This should never have been done but it has so apply some common sense, extend it till wednesday night or something and then move on. But all teams that finish games in extension they are illegible for the bonus points if they end up completing in this time.

Doesn't seem too hard, would love to see if anyone else agrees with this.

rather it be done by today so if you want it we can put it in motion and not left until last minute like yesterday.
