i say no more other than i think maybe we should do a window and no one can move during season (except in window) like football.

i belive it would stable the teams and make it much more interesting.

but this would make it near enough impossible for people who have never been in a clan that want to join half way through a season but cannot because all the clans are full.

not at all not many join during season anyway plus if a clan can still release a player but that player cant sign for another clan till window open, clan can sign from free agents list but not from window list.

So your saying its fair for example:

Vipers release fry06 (who is an active player) just so they can sign jimfaebod.

fry06 in return has to wait until the end of the season just because he has been removed even though he hadnt been looking at another clan.

Problem with a transfer window is once it is closed for example this scenario happens. Player and captain have a dispute or player decides he doesn't want to play clans anymore (for whatever reason, be it time, interest, etc...) so captain removes player and replaces him with another, player then decides he (in the case of dispute with captain) wants to play for another clan, but can't because the window has passed, or in the other instance player then changes his mind but his previous clan was full, so he/she has to sit around for say 4-6 weeks without a clan. See what I mean (for those of you that followed that)

yes but there got to be a middle ground or all thats going to happen is teams like vipers, sharks, wolf pack , fraggles, never going to get anywhere when bigger teams keep poaching players.

Kenny, you may not value players on how good they are, but some captains do. Say the player in question was weak, and the captain wanted a better player in, but his whole team was active, he would remove the weaker player. Therefore the weaker player, with the rule you suggested, cannot go to a different clan until the end of the season.

That wouldnt be fair. I think the rule is fine as it is. The captain has the decision whether to let the player leave or stay. Perfectly fine.

With a transfer window they're just as likely to have players poached and it will be even easier for that player to leave if their is a window. Currently it's all at the discretion of the captain, the division 2 captains should get tougher on their players and tell them they're staying for the season, end of story much like doubted2 has and fair play to him for doing so.

i disagree with the as u just hit nail on head i we need stronger players lets nick there best players captains can say no but v, cap can say yes if cap off at work then they fall out then, plus the weeker team gets weeker cause there best player has left or if captain dont release ur best player refuse to play, catch 22 weeker clan still gets weeker

but it not just down to captain is it. oh fair play on craig agree but if harry said well craig u wont release me then i wont play so team still no better of luckly for craig harry nice kid but some players wont have it .

Haven't read the entire discussion (just this page).
Over on snooker, we have a transfer window in the middle of the season. Clans can sign free agents the entire season (quarantine applies).
We have the transfer window to avoid clans folding because someone and his friends decided to run off to another clan (as was the case before).
Additional rule: A player that was released during the season CAN return to that clan even outside the transfer window (quarantine applies).
It's worked pretty well so far...

With a transfer week in the middle of the season, this will destabilise clans even more! Players then have the option to move freely without permission meaning one clan could lose 6 or 7 players leaving the clan alot of work to do finding players before the next fixture set!

This then creates more defaults as some clans are short on players after the transfer week. Meaning more arguements over defaults leading inevitably to more clans folding.

Simple as that!

example thegreatone7 left vipers for wolfpack without my permission, as captain of vipers so where the logic in that rule i cam on to find she a wolf and now i unable to use her as a sub it is unfair.

Kenny, if you did not release her, then she is not a wolf pack player. You get her back.. However if you post that you released her then she has every right to find another clan.

but i for one think it needs to be tweeked there has got to be a middle ground.

if it only captain can realese then it should be only captain.

I have an interesting idea..

How about clans can swap players? As in for example:

Shooters offer blackjack to Vipers in exchange for fry06 to Shooters.

This has to be agreed on by both captains and players.

Then you should lay down stricter rules to your vice cap.
