I've scrapped my idea of having 3 rounds based on number of rounds won. Instead, it'll be 2 rounds of 9 holes based on aggregate score. (Not 3.) If there is a tie for 1st place, then it goes round-by-round between the 2 or 3 players till someone wins a round.

CHANGE OF PLAN

The semi-final will be 3 two-player games, and if a player wins 2 games, that player qualifies. But we'll keep a record of the total scores, cos if there should happen to be a 3-way tie, the overall aggregate of all the games will come into play (not counting any play-off rounds). If two players remain tied, the result between them will separate them.

What happens next?

If I beat 007jb1 I go through to the final.

If 007jb1 beats me, then he and _niall_ will play. If jb wins, he qualifies for the final. Otherwise, all three players will have one win each, and the aggregate of each players four rounds (not counting playoff rounds) will decide who qualifies for the final. If this is tied between two players, then the winner of the earlier contest between those two qualifies for the final.

Right, have neglected this a little, still awaiting a response from jb, will decide then what to do then. I lead 1 round to 0.

After discussing with JB and Niall, it has been accepted that the second round between myself and JB need not be played, and we can proceed to stick me straight into the final. This will be played some on Sunday or afterwards, some time I return from a couple of days away from my usual residence.
