Despite what you say, killer is really, really, really not skill dependant.

Whatever you say mate.

Weird how some people are constantly so much more lucky than others

Luck is just another word for "random chance". If you were right, everyone who plays killer much at all should be more or less equally successful over time. The single fact alone that this is not the case defeats your claim I'm afraid.

No point what so ever in arguing about that tho - if you want to believe killer is a lottery that's perfectly alright with me

The problem with pool in general is that there is a fair amount of luck involved in the game. If you have two people playing a game of 9 ball who are capable of clearing the balls given a chance (of which their are 50+ people on this site) an unlucky cannon or a slice of luck for your opponent where they miss a pot and unintentionally snooker you are going to affect your chances of winning. I agree with r numbers in that there is more luck involved with killer than any of the other pool game types (therefore killer being the most likely of the pool games to take off on a gambling site). The number of times I've played in a 6 player game, killed all the other people after me, then been left in an awkward spot when its one on one at the end, with the other guy having the upper hand and forcing me to lose my remaining lives in quick succession is bordering on criminal That's why I don't really enjoy the game concept and prefer pitting my wits 1 on 1 from the start of the game. Which brings me around to wanting to play races to 10 8US for 20 quid against any and everybody

Love the idea Nick, I'll definitely be gambling with you.

An idea which could improve the games' aesthetic awareness is changing the balls' apperance somehow, because the numbers aren't really necessary in this format of the game. Don't really know what you could do to them though.

So you're gonna tell me, it takes unbelievable skill, to pot a ball? ..... Yer right :)

Thats all killer is, not missing, some players are better potters granted, but what, grats? make 8 ball uk a gamblers game, would propbably be the most popular choice.

Depends entirely on how good the player in front of you is at leaving you hard shots.

You seem quite ignorant of the entire aspect of the game that revolves around leaving the next player a hard shot. If you think you can win killer games vs. good players by exclusively potting balls and disregard what the others are doing then I'm afraid you are quite mistaken and in for a nasty surprise.

That statement confirms why your stats are so much inferior to janmb in killer.

Killer is so much more than just potting yours and hoping the others miss.

Every shot if you wish to win your thinking of putting your opponent into a safe position, or a tough shot, or even a few shots in advance whats the most likely ball your going to hit in.

All the while making sure you pot a ball every single time.

If it was as much luck as you say it is then there wouldnt be so much of a clear positive correlation between 8us/9us/8uk/str8 and killer rankings.

A few changes have been made to killerpool.

Speed pool (clear up) and sudden death (single life) have been added.

The central lobby has a chat panel, so people can organize games etc. I will also add a player list panel so it will be similar to the funkypool lobby.

Cue changes: cue is shown when you are lining up a shot, and you can also see your opponents cue when they line up the shot. I'd like to add this to funkypool too, so let me know any thoughts.

EDIT: You might need to press refresh to get the latest images for this patch.

It would be better if the cue didnt follow the cursor outside of the table area IMO. Not a big thing, just doesnt "feel" right.

After testing it a bit, I can't help but feel the visible cue during aiming is just unnecessary noise. Then again, I guess I'm a bit far out one end of the scale in terms of prioritizing function over looks.
