True you cant be penalised in a player not showing up. I agree with you there, however...

The player started the games with Davey, and because of that, no sub is allowed.

Tis what rules stats, i am just quoting them. What happens in the end is up to captain and mods if they get brought into it, but thats my pov.

As for coaching cool - I think coaching was a term perhaps misused, however... bm to be telling your players what to do imho... even if he would of taken the shots anyway...

i had a match earlier this season where opponent went off 3 or 4 times over 1 to 2 hours

we had under rules the right to claim 5 0 for format but didnt in fair play

now we are being faced with 2 13 default cos other team isnt showing same spirit

Your guy went off 3/4 times in 1-2 hours. This guy been on and off for days, not hours... and when he is on, he is either working, or his brother is playing... eh?

But whatever the ruling - I am gonna accept it as I really couldnt be annoyed being on funky pool for 5 hours and only playing pool for an hour.....the rest of the time being taken up with messaging, forums etc etc

All that tells me is the moderators are wrong about most captains wanting to win on merit and fairness.

You are basically saying if you could win every game 15 0 on default you would

If you dont go up due to defaults, then you should get players who can play their games on time without being booted from your clan. Dont blame that on the league being a waste of time, blame it on not having the reliable people.

And if i could take a 15-0 win, after trying to get it played, and being interrupted in the midddle and then messed about? I would take it in a heartbeat and then go get a beer.

Its not been refused its rules merv no subs once a game has been started i am looking to change this next season as like ya self i had same problm last week with kirk v warney.

I had a game earlier in season when my opponent crashed 4 times during match....now there is the argument that as they were struggling there is no guarantee this was just a prob with pc....or tactical....either way it stopped a flow to the game and affected the result as we didnt get match finished for 2 -3 hours by which time i was fed up and tired....my understanding of the rules is that each time this happened i could claim a 5 0 win for the format....but after talking with merv we decided to act in spirit of fair play and finish game..thus costing us points and possible promo....rules are rules but as fellowship is not an unreliable clan and this has been the only match where we have had a problem surely in spirit of game a sub would be allowed to be used to complete

Can I just point out that this league has NOTHING to do with Funkypool or any Moderators or Admin.

This league is privately run and no Mods or Admin can, or will give an overall ruling on any situation unless they are an actual part of the league team who do indeed make such decisions.

We moderate the forums, hence why we get invoilved in certain issues, normally because of petty bickering and arguing. Lets not confuse that with the running of the league.

Just thought I'd point that out before Funkypool is called a waste of time! (Again)

Cool in response to ur post about connection failure theres no ruling about this but we do advise to replay the frame because its not there fault connection is lost and as a good sportsman most do replay the frame ive not heard of anyone not doin so this season.

So its not an official rule that u have to replay frame.

As for a sub should be allowed well i disagree because like i say i was not allowed to sub for warney and like yourselfs we are not an unreliable clan but rules state u are not allowed to sub once a game has started.

Wow guys - again the point I was making has spiralled totally out of control......

What I was saying is the following - brad has left the clan due to unsporting behaviour - I wont tolerate it......

when i had asked him to leave I had no idea 7 frames of his match had already been played - there was no post anywhere......

I asked would it be possible could I make a sub and only then was informed the game had started.....

I then asked in the interest of getting the game finished would it be possible for someone of lesser rank to finish the game and I was told it was in the rules I couldnt.....

Because of that, I checked the rules, and apparantley all scores (including partially played games) should be posted.....

This hasn't been done - so nowhere is there a record of this match being started as a clan match.....

I believe it was - and the score was 5 - 2 but if I am

being quoted that I cant sub because of the rules then surely I can get the match replayed starting at 0 - 0 as there is no evidence of the match being started.

This would be enforcing the rules to the letter which I am very hesitant to do because I believe an amicable situation for all parties could have been for the match to be finished with a lesser ranked player.....

The reason I thought this was because throughout the season, I have tried to accomodate all other clans and if the shoe was on the other foot, this post wouldnt have even to be needed.

I would have told the opponents captain to sub and finish the match.

As cool said in previous post - maybe I am being too soft in the interest of fair play.
