OK Guys

Over the past few days, every time the fellowship (be it myself or another member) have brought up an issue on this site, or through private chat, we are first bombarded with how it shouldnt be, this is the rules and then ridiculed on other clan threads.

I really do believe (along with others) that there is a "gang" mentality on this site where if one of "your gang" do not believe in anything a witch hunt then commences.

This is something i will not tolerate in any walk of life.

Having looked at the nutters thread this morning to see another 3 posts about something that I thought was put to bed again trying to ridicule ideas.

I had sent a couple of private messages last night to ppl who I thought might have taken offence to my wording in some responses and I thought that would have been it.

Unfortunately, I am not prepared to spend all day and night trying to justify an idea I had and then get constantly ridiculed over it.

The fellowship is a strong clan with good solid players who deserve promotion.

I am terribly sorry that this has happened, merv was a great captain and a freindly man and to see how this has resulted in him leaving is very upsetting, i hope your clan can recover from this and still get that promotion and if you need any help feel free to call on me.

I think people should listen to what merv has just said as there is many that believe his points and i think everyone should look at it, i have no doubt in my mind no one will though and carry on.

I only hope one day merv comes back and rejoins you guys and conflict is no more.

How can you say that as so far in the league we are the ONLY team in the league that has got every game played without a default


Again that just shows very bad sportsmanship
I would much rather lose a game fairly 15-0 and have the games played than try and get a default win 15-0 in ANY circumstances
even if time and time again i had been messed about i would still badger and badger them to get games played or ask if a sub can be re-arranged because its about playing these games not winning.
The win should just be fair and square, i've won and lost games here yet all i've enjoyed and had pleasant chat with my opponent and if they disconnect mid-frame i let it be re-played (as i did with lena_rus)
I think some people should take things less serious and act more sporting towards people

'BIGMERV1973' played his final match to ensure game was completed and is taking a well earned rest in a secret location.

he will continue to liase and guide fellow members in a hands off capacity

Guys I know we are all gutted at mervs departure and I will be making my views known in next post for what its worth but I know he wants us to get our promotion and not give up so those that have matches left......kick behinds in true fellowship style and lets get this promotion the correct way through merit and fair play and actually playing the games.

To All Members In All Clans

Im absolutely gutted at Mervs departure and well hacked off with recent events.

There does genuinely seem to be a negative reaction to new teams in this league and whilst we are asked to play in good spirit very often the actions dont back up the words.

I have posted many ideas or sugestions for changes to the current system, not to disrupt but because there are serious flaws in the current format.

Whilst I cannot guarantee that they will or wont work it is very depressing that every single idea by me or anyone is knocked down or ridiculed and thrown out.

The season only lasts 6 weeks. Would it not be better to try a few different ideas and actually see if they work rather than have this blanket negative mentality that the current system is best.

If it doesnt work then so be it we tried and move on but to simply dismiss everything with negative reasoning cant be good.

On the matter of defaults whilst im not going into other options just now and as I understand both arguments for and against at this time...

If anyone and there are quite a few, genuinely believe its good to win via a default then perhaps they should not be in a clan at all.

There are lots of good and fair captains and clan members but sadly there are a rotten few as well but recent events could have been resolved without all of this if both parties were playing fair.

The fact still remains that we have not gained any points through default results......

But are now facing non promotion as a result of defaults points awarded to other teams and more importantly on the one occassion where we have asked for a mutual compromise we have been totally stabbed in back.

Fellowship more than most have been totally accomodating to everyone elses wishes in an attempt to get games played. We could have used rules on numerous occassions against teams and players and gained a stack more points but didnt. We could have been less accomodating to other teams when difficulties re matches arised thus picking up easy default points but didnt.

Yet we ask for one simple thing and we have rulebook thrown at us.

If we do not get promoted this season, not through results but as a result of default points for other teams and in this one instance against the fellowship it makes a mockery of the league.

Most of us are genuine fair players and I appreciate all the efforts made by the organisers etc as without them the league wouldnt exist but please be a little more accomodating and understanding of issues raised.

Your way isnt always the best or right way.

Merv was one of the most proactive fair and accomodating players and captains in this site and league and a few people should be embarrassed and ashamed that he has deactivated and stepped down. You know who you are people.

For me personally I will wait and see what reaction this gets and whether we move to division one before i decide on next season

please do not take these last few posts negatively or in bad spirit

It needed to be said and I hope it promotes some good discussion reflection and postive changes moving forward.

yea i can see exactly where you are coming from coolhandct. however it can and will always be argued both ways.

in an ideal world both players in a match would strive to get it played and make every effort to get the match done. this is not the case for whatever reason, and should the person who has done nothing for the match to be played recieve anything in terms of points?

either there has to be a set number of points available for a default, or the league organisers will have to look into and asses each different clan match that has a default claim.

as for the number of defaults allowed to a team in each match or season, in my opinion there should be a limit, i feel this way because although a lot of the players in the league feel passionately about it and the team they play for, they therefore try their best to get a match done, however there are and will always be people who are not all that bothered about playing the matches, and this can result in a lot of default wins being awarded.

but this is just my opinion feel free to discuss what i have said, i have said in no disrespect to any team or team member and welcome critisism of what i have said.
