180-7 now for England, if we can somehow get another 59 runs, think we will survive. Collingwood in with 59 and Swann on 9.
I'm still optimistic of a win for England
But it's a negative performance from England, don't think Strauss wanted to win this match, negative field settings and now negative batting, get the 239 runs, then won't have to worry too much about the time and rain

So after watching last night, with it looking like it was going to be a great win by the aussies i wake up to hear there was a draw! :O..
Also a bit shocked to hear something about unsportsmanship!.. what is all this time wasting the last session, hmm?.. reminds me of the last ashes test where they did a similar thing with monty panesar "accidentally" bringing out two left gloves in Sydney i think it was.. regular occurence?..
Not cool if it was a whole lot of time wasting just to get the draw, not cool at all England :O.. *tisks at the English players like a mum would at a mis-behaving child*

Who said anything about a whitewash WaNRey?..
It's not about a whitwash, or being arrogant..
*mutters* but if England play like they have 90% of this game it might look like it gets close to having been one..

Ermm, fast bowler Glenn McGrath said confidentally, Australia will beat England 5-0 before the Ashes series.
And I think Collingwood could do with helping Strauss with field settings at the moment, also bring in Steve Harmison and then beat the Aussies
And Melz, remember 2005, first test, you thumped us, but who won overall

But glenn always says that.. he's not very objective i don't think.. just because he says it will turn out that way doesn't mean the team is arrogant
You know, since Harmison bowled the famous "harmy" i can't seem to take him seriously as a bowler.. in my head he's just the guy that bowled to second slip
No WaNRey i don't remember many things from 4.. count them 4 years ago.. stop living in the past matey

i can, harmison can only realisticly play in one or two tests this series, when the pitches suit him and theres never a guarentee that the pitch will bounce in both innings, at least onions should provide a decent bit of pace and swing in any game.

Graham Onions is the leading wicket taker in county cricket this year, he has been played fairly well for England as well when called upon, he got 3 wickets in the first innings.
Just awaiting the England declaration now, 521 runs ahead with 2 days to play, don't think anyone has chased down a score of 500+ in the last innings of a match and 2 days to bowl them out. So hopefully our first win over the Aussies at Lords for 75 years is on the cards

They'll certainly try to, but England can afford to set a very attacking field, try a few things with placings and bowlers. You'd think they should win it from here the way Anderson and Onions bowled the first innings.
