The game was boring yesterday but the atmosphere was still class, how many Mexican waves were attempted, think it went round the ground 3 times before Michael Clarke got cranky.

Plastic cups which say: I am not a plastic cup. Not sure what they are then, but stewards do not like fans stacking them up, though the English started it over the side, gave it to the Aussies and the Aussies made it into a proper long snake and took it round the stand. lol

Great banter between fans, sat not far from some Aussies, and the people in front of them starting ALL the Mexican waves were giving them a dig, but the Aussies gave back too, all good spirit.

Some nice chants:

Broady(Belly, Cookie) give us a wave. They all did, although Cook's were half-soaked

Broady, stretch your hamstring. One randomer was chanting, he did. lol

"Stand up if you're 1-0 up" went about a fair bit.

"You only sing when you're drawing" to the Aussies when the draw was obvious and the Aussies came with a few chants. 1 being

"You got the Whole World in your team" to We got the whole world in our hands or somet. lol

"Your next queen is Camilla Parker-Bowles" to Yellow Submarine aimed to the Aussies

Other obvious chants such as:
Super Super Fred Super Super Fred Super Super Fred, super Freddie Flintoff

Onto the match, second session where North and Clarke batted all session sort of signalled a draw and that the Aussies didn't want to go hell for leather, go for a declaration and try to win the match.

Clarke batted well, Anderson was fielding not so good letting two balls roll under him. But he made up for it with a superb catch to dismiss Marcus North in the third session.

Clarke had a lifeline off Bopara's bowling where he smacked it straight to Andrew Strauss, who couldn't hold on.

But really from about 2pm onwards, a draw was the only result coming, good day out though at Edgbaston

This is a joke, we are prodding about outside the off stump and nicking to slip time and again. What is the point playing a defensive shot outside the off stump!?!? Either leave it or hit it, prodding is ridicuolous frankly, and it is costing us the match.

THink we are missing KP and Freddy more than people thought, they might have got on with it, and took the game to the Aussies.

We need to counter attack now, get on with it, and somehow get to 250-270 region.

Amazing how some Aussie supporters have woke up on the Ashes now they are in control of a test match. Was quiet for Edgbaston when we sort of had 20 wickets, but 5 didn't count because:

1. Clarke dropped by Freddie
2. Bopara dropped catch
3. Clarke dropped by Strauss off Bopara
4. Clarke caught behind off a no ball
5. Clarke clean bowled, but the bails didn't fall off
