England all out for 435

A good knock from Broad and Jimmy, with Swann adding a great 47 no. Not a bad score, and with two spinners we'll see how we go bowling out the Aussies.

Hughes looks good, when it is bowled wide of offstump and slightly high, Ponting is playing a good innings so far i think, Dissapointed at the moment how Broad and Anderson havnt took an wicket yet, just need it to swing and get a bit more movement off the seam i think, just need to play it on middle and offstump and get the ball to move around and it will all be good

the only down side of hughes is that he cant handle the high bouncer, the only thing he need to work on!

Australia have the lead by 16 runs at the moment. Billy Doctrove doesn't seem the best umpire, doesn't like giving batsmen out.

KP on day 1 and Katich today, both plum, both not out :|

Think this first test has gone away from us though, just hope that we don't have another batting collapse in the second innings to give the Aussies the opening test

County action, one of the most bizarre outs ever?

I'm unsure about Strauss as a captain, not the best field settings to trouble the Aussie batsmen.

Least Vaughan came up with interesting field settings to keep the batsmen guessing.

But now need the current captain and the former captain to bat us back into the match. Would like KP to play naturally, can't avoid to play too defensive, that's how you lose the wickets. But nice of Billy Doctrove to give a wicket when it was clearly too high.

Doctrove has been shocking in all three innings, he is shocking, he has the wrong glasses on!

The weather at the moment

Although if truth be told, the Aussies are leading this one, don't think we can realistically win the first test, a draw is the best we can hope for

There is not a hope in hell England can win this. The weather should be fine tomorrow so it'll be close to a miracle if they get out with a draw. Strauss needs a proper captains knock tomorrow. Watching the the Aussie innings, they seemed to show a lot of Vaughn and Simon Jones on T.V, oh how we needed them out there. Vaughn captaincy is a different level to anyone else, Strauss is to conservative, and you do not want that against the Aussies, we gotta take it to them like 4 years ago !

One other thing, get Panesar back into the Lions, get Harmison in for Lords, and Broad, well he just looks so ordinary against good players, get Onions in there I reckon, give him a chance and get the Aussies thinking. It was just to easy for their batsmen

Harmie took at least 4 wickets today against Yorkshire, didn't keep fully up-to-date with that match, but would like Harmison back in the team.

BBC would say get your bets down for Harmison to be leading wicket taker in the Ashes

The weather is not going to be enough, it's turning nice around these parts now.

This is a joke of a performance, the ordinary bowler that is Hauritz looks like Shane Warne and Clarke doesn't look far off, only England are capable of doing such things ! The Aussie attack have just seriously embarassed our two spinners especially and the quicks. What a bloomin joke ! Though it is quite predictable and typical with England these days
