It's the middle Sunday so unless they absolutely have to, there are no matches played. It'll be back on tomorrow with the round of 16

Lol, it's finally rained

Random facts and updates:

11 Games were on when it rained, two of them close to finishing. One was a Boy's Singles first round match between Kevin Krawietz (GER) and Guilherme Clezar (BRA). Kevin won the first set 7-6 and was leading 6-5, so he'll be gutted

The other game was Men's Doubles third round - Bhuphati/Knowles (4) leading Amritaj/Qureshi 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 and were up 4-0 in the 4th set.

The most pointless game of the 11 was another Men's Doubles match (2nd round). This match being between Dic(k) Norman (Belgian!)/Wesley Moodie (9) and Andreev/Korolev. Norman/Moodie made it to 40-15 before the game was suspended. What a waste of a warm up

Two Girl's singles matches made it to 1-1 before the rain

Two unseeded women are in the Quarter Finals of the Women's singles. They are Sabine Lisicki (GER, 41) and Francesca Shiavone (ITA, 43). Lisicki knocked out 9th seed Caroline Wozniacki, while Shiavone defeated 26th seed Virginie Razzano.

Andy Murray dropped the first set against Stanislas Wawrinka:

Amazing play from Murray to be honest, yes he beat him 3-2 but he played like a number 1 out there!

Wawrinka doesnt deserve to be that seed in all fairness, he didn't play like a no.19!

I think that to get 2 sets against someone 16 seeds better than you takes a phenomenal performance! His popularity (?? - Can;t think of a good word) will have increased so much from that match.

EDIT: Realised what I said was wrong

Wawrinka is definitely a top 20 player. He played very well against a top player, and maybe in a year or two he may also be in the top 10. Very underrated player.
