It's better to be safe than sorry though guys... Sure, maybe the media is taking it too far, but at least people are aware of it and are taking preventative measures...

They were thinking about suspending football matches in Scotland because of this. Personally I think it's a bit much doing this. Public transport could also be affected. I've been told I might need to get this injection as I would need to go to work regardless as I am a call taker for the ambulance service.

First of all, it was a joke on my behalf and more han likely on mnm's behalf too.
Secondly, i imagine if the pig in question had swine flu before it was slaughtered but had not yet been recognised then i dont see why it wouldn't be possible for you to catch it by eating product of that pig.

As long as the product is cooked properly there is no risk what-so-ever.
If you ate it raw, there's a slight chance you'll get it. But I'd be more worried about dying from food poisoning....

Think us brits should be worried yet?
We have the third largest amount of cases in the smallest amount of area, and now a healthy person died

dont panic folks, just contact your Dr if you get flu symptoms, not a sneeze or cough, but flu is like if you see a £20 note on the floor and you cant be bothered picking it up.... aching joints, nausea, headaches, vomit, dioreah etc thats flu (not all at once though weall are different but use common sense), most of us think we have had flu, but blokes????? its man flu....ie a cold lol....in this instance

there has been like 15 deaths here in Australia.
But what some people dont realise is that its near impossible to die from swine flu its self - there are normally complications with it....so everyone went nuts when it hit australia - and we only got the 'mild' strain
