I dont like it to be honest.

How will the system know whether you lose to friends in the tournament regulary.

I whoop niall every single tournament doesnt mean were cheating.

I think 7 consecutive games is silly make it at least 15. Unless its only if your playing the same person.

I think you would have to be open to lots of users arguing their ban.

What has brung this on? A sudden increase in cheating? Was it broke before the system of vigilence?

Punishing people for playing their close friends is ridiculous surely?

Great points lads, agree fully

* They win or lose more than 7 consecutive games in any discipline.

* They gain or lose more that 50 rank points in a 24 hour period.

* Play more than 5 ranked games against close friends or relations.

* Regularly lose to friends or relations if drawn against them in tournaments.

Alot of people will have their stats reset having genuinely not cheated. I hate this idea. Personally I don't cheat as you can tell from my results and stats, however, I like to play friends on this, too, usually friendlies, but we've played games first to ten and so on and maybe the odd time one of us has won seven games in a row, I doubt it, but it wouldn't surprise me.

The whole fifty rank thing... whilst it doesn't concern me personally I'm more than sure the top players would not benefit from this what so ever.

I can't help but think this is some sort of joke. It just won't work, I can assure you.

Y'see I'm thinking certain people will be banned who're loyal to the game as an April Fool's joke and, well, the system was never in place to begin with as it's pretty out of the blue and farfetched, y'know? At least I hope so anyway.

I completely agree. I'm looking forward to it greatly as I believe this is a great idea. Just reading the title of this thread, I knew within a few seconds (before reading any of the post) that it could only be a benefit to funkypool as a whole.

Great idea - but 6th of April would have been a better day though - you could have then linked it in to the start of the new financial year.

Current proposals are that users will have their stats reset automatically if :

* They win or lose more than 7 consecutive games in any discipline.

* They gain or lose more that 50 rank points in a 24 hour period.

Assuming there are no objections or major changes required, we shall impliment at midnight GMT on Tuesday.

Quote shortened for character purposes :L

*Does the 7 consecutive games mean 7 wins in a row in one game type or all? Just looking through my recent results I won 8 games in a row though in different games, and I know I personally am capable of winning more than 7 games along with anybody on the site having a good day. Also how does the system discern between games won in a tournament e.g. Marathon tournaments or having a perfect tournament.

*In my opinion a 50 point bar is too low and is discouraging for people who are on form. Also it will stop people from playing if they get near it (if they're even aware of how close they get to the 50 points which I doubt alot of people will be). I myself had a bad hour on 9ball and lost 30+ points i think so it's not diffult to lose 50 points at all. How does Killer fit into this as it's the easiest game to win 50+ points in a day and not sure whether the 7 consec wins are the wins on your profile because if you win 10 man killer you get 9 wins on your profile. Will your stats be reset?

10 man killer win = 9 wins

And winning that many points in one game is more than disgusting enough to warrant a stat reset anyway!

EDIT: Dammit Spinner, not again!

The last time you changed the random shot staff, the FP community weren't happy!

I imagine this getting as much publicity!
