Why the tears? It's a social networking tool to add certain functionality. I'm going to place it on the home page instead.
What do you mean freezing up? Have you checked that you have the latest Java version?

well there must be an optical illusion or something.
On the old game engine, and this new one - sometimes the 'target ball' appears to swerve before going onto a final line.
It never affected me or anything, but it just looked that way.
is there any reason why I would see things like that? I know its not the game - but is it my eyes or the computer???

There is certainly no swerving on the game table.

Nick - Can't seem to see anyone eles mentioning it, but was the shot power change in the recent update?
12:10 Mon 23 Mar 09 (GMT) [Link]
aflumpire, no, once connected the ball just rolls a set direction.
alone699, unfortunately the shot power may be affected for some people. This is unfortunately dependent on computer speed.

Did you go to options and select "alternate cue control power"?

Thats because its an IE only feature, it wont work in Firefox.

This effect could be possible if you're using monitor which isn't set up properly and thus distorting the display, espectally if its an an old CRT one. However, it would need to be pretty bad to be that noticable!

Sorry, missed that one..
Basically it's the same as any performance issue. A 4 year old laptop should easily play the game no problem.
Make sure there are no other applications running in the background (like messenger progs, virus scans, p2p software etc)
A clean install of IE7/Java will give you the fastest performance assuming you're using windows XP.
Do give the computer a good cleanout (temporary files etc) and make sure a defrag has been run recently, feel free to get back if you still see no improvement.

My laptop is about 5 or 6 years old, but it's quality, and it's the only thing I can play decent on, so the age of the laptop should never affect gameplay!
