You're very close, you've given tense and mood. What about voice, person and number?

Give me a second, I closed that tab on my browser.
Is it the formal "You ate"? I know the tense, but am unfamiliar with the pronoun. Sorry, I don't have any more guesses.

I'm-a gonna give it to you
The answer is... 3rd person singular active perfect indicative. I hope that's in the right order!!!
3rd person - so it's not the person talking or the person being spoken to
Singular - one person
So it's he, she or it.
Active - he, she or it is the person responsible for the eating (as opposed to the passive voice, in which case he, she or it would be the one being eaten)
Indicative - the event is a fact, as opposed to a wish or an opinion
Perfect - the event has taken place and is concluded.
Therefore, edit means "he/she/it ate" or "he/she/it has eaten".
Visit http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/edo and where it says Third Conjugation, click on show. There you can see all the conjugation and the table allows you an instant(-ish) translation if you know what you're looking for!
So to pick random examples from it:
edēbās - you (singular) ate
ediminī - you (plural) are eaten
edēmus - we will eat
edam - that I may eat, may I eat (the statement of desire, not the request)
(And "edam Edamem" probably means "That I may eat the Edam!" Lol.)
Katie, it's your go!!!

Ah. I was going on my knowledge of Spanish - the endings for "he/she/it" also applies to "formal you" (there's an informal version, too).
Here's my question:
What group in history often used their deadliness for political goals without actually killing? For example: Instead of killing a person, they might leave a token of their group upon that person's pillow.
Click the Spoiler for a clue to point you in the right direction.

Nope. It's a key in Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code, though.
