lol, time for a hard one from me so.....

In January 1812, Thomas Barr, who was teaching in the schoolhouse in Pleasant Grove, was kept out of the schoolhouse for three days by the students, and they thwarted his every attempt to gain access and resume teahcing, until he gave up. He then signed an agreement to furnish the scholars with... what?

P.S. This one is hard. And there's a very good reason for that.
