That is now 16 players.

Here are the players - the number they get is the number they have for the random draw. A random number generator at some website will be used to pick numbers v numbers (ill explain that in more detail later on)

they are all the players. I think I will use the double elimination to get more players playing for longer - and so I can retain more players for next season.

Thanks guys - as this is round one, I will release the draw tonight (Australian time) and let it run until Sunday the 22nd of March...so in this time we can sort out any teething problems.

ok - I will condict the draw in a short while.

using the numbers that players have, I go to a website ( http://www.random.org/sequences/ ) which is a random number generator.

The number from 1-16 will randomly come up in a random order.

I will then work my way down the list coupling the next two numbers on the list - this becomes the draw.

The draw will be conducted like this every week - hence you may get a new number every week.

I could draw it from a hat - but I like going for complete randomness!

now to answer K9B1's question - dont forget this is a double elimination tournament.

Everyopne who loses in round one IS STILL IN THE COMPETITION!

The winning 8 players are in the Major 8 and the losing 8 players are in the Minor 8.

They then play to see who wins out of the major and minor 8.

Those two winners face off in the Super Cup Final (no copyright permission from UEFA)

Those losing in the second week are out forever, and can return next season.

With numbering for next round - your number will be determined by what order matches are played.

So Hightops now is number 1 for next round for the Major 8, and I am number 1 for the minor 8 - this is all for the random draw.
